  1. PINAC website has recently done some great reporting on the issue of police dogs dying in locked police cars due to heat.  There have been numerous cases this summer. It sounded to me like the El Segundo car had its engine running but there is no way to know if the air conditioner was on.  The Hawthorne PD cars clearly had their windows down for proper ventilation. Also interesting that the officer says he thought I was breaking into cars.   Have you ever known Torrance Police to suspect someone of breaking into cars and NOT detain them ?
