You asserting your rights had nothing to do with the cop letting you go dumbass. He just didn't smell anything on your breath. If you smelled like a brewery I bet you wouldn't have got through.
Or it was ridiculously obvious to the cop that the driver was going out of his way to make a statement and wasn't intoxicated. Move along and get your giant camera out of my face, thanks.

I don't think you would get the same reaction with a hidden camera.
This is not a fair test, they obviously know you and Tom Zebra by now, and even if they didn't, the officer spotting Tom holding a camera quickly realizes what's going on
