A Piscataway police officer allegedly assaulted someone while in custody and tried to cover up the altercation last week, authorities said. Todd Ritter, 54, of Millstone, was charged Wednesday with tampering with public records, falsifying and tampering with records and assault, Middlesex County Prosecutor Andrew C. Carey said in a release. Ritter is a police officer in Piscataway. While on duty, Ritter allegedly hit the suspect who was being detained in a police car on February 12 and filed false records with inaccurate information to try and hide the incident, Carey said. Ritter — who joined the force in 1996 and is paid $120,948 annually, according to pension records — has been suspended without pay as a result of the charges, township police Chief Scott Cartmell said in the release. The Monmouth County man is due in court on March 15, according to the release.

  1. I just saw an ad saying too much milk is bad for your bones.. Fuck this ad!! Milk is good, and good for bones! 😡 I know this because I am a licensed milk expert and certified bone specialist.

  2. Cop should be fired. They hear that shit all the time (threats to their life and families), it's sadly part of the job. They're supposed to be clearheaded no matter what they hear and never resort to violence over shit talking like this. Esp with someone is already in handcuffs. They're supposed to be above it.
And trying to lie about the suspect kicking him in the balls?? Weak.

  3. I believe that the officers were in the wrong entirely. The kid was actually telling the truth, I’ve seen another video about what happened before this and they totally treated him like crap. No wonder he was mad as hell, and I hope these cops got fired.

  4. In the kids defense, when the cop stops the car and opens the back door followed by hitting him, he said "Stop kicking me in the balls." At NO time did the kid kick his balls…

  5. The kid was talking shit but that Officer is a trained liar. He said “stop kicking me in the balls” cuz he knew the camera was on. If he actually kicked you in the balls you probably wouldn’t be saying “stop kicking me in the balls”. This guy should not be an officer if he can’t handle a 130lb. Kid weakly kicking the plexiglass.
