  1. You know, I can’t help but think this was an appropriate judgement for a kid doing a dumb kid thing. Hope he got his wake up call and stops this obviously generational mindset.

  2. Imagine what George Washington would say if you told him you needed the states permission to ride your horse, also, the state needed to inspect it and it had to be registered with the state as well.. Also, there will be guys patrolling to make sure your horse is not walking too fast (no running at all) He'd slit your throat on the notion alone. He'd also understand that as technology advanced, freedom should advance with it. Not be degraded because of it. Somehow, we lost that concept in the last 250 years. Lets bring it back. A motorcycle is the modern equivalent of a horse and should be treated as such. Free travel, no tax, no inspection, no registration, no license.

Lets go further, extend it to cars as well. Freedom is not suppose to be safe or predictable. It's not meant to come with guide rails and cushion. Sometimes it hurts, sometimes people get hurt. They say an ounce of prevention, pound of cure.. Yeah, it's probably true. What they don't tell you is that in many cases, the pound of cure is extremely cheap, the ounce of prevention costs much, much more. It costs more to you, your society, your liberty. If you prefer "peaceful slavery", we can get you a one-way ticket direct to Pyongyang and you can see for yourself where that kind of thinking ultimately always will lead.

I am not suggesting we go full "Ancapistan" either. Laws are good, in theory. When applied properly. Full an-cap wouldn't be better by any metric. In fact it might even be worse than North Korea. But something between that and your general sort of milquetoast, basic-bitch conservative is where the sweet spot lies. We're currently WAY outside that, but the winds are shifting that way. Hell, the 5th circuit just overturned a 158-year old ban on home-distilling as unconstitutional. Most laws on the books today are in fact, unconstitutional. Gun control laws are collapsing across the nation because of it, it's happening, slowly but surly. The tree of liberty isn't dead, but it isn't that healthy either. And people cheering on the enforcers of unconstitutional edicts are far, far more evil than the tyrants themselves.

"I prefer dangerous freedom to peaceful slavery"
    -Thomas Jefferson.

  3. Can’t lie tho, police is so annoying, he was a random ass kid on a bike, wearing a helmet, no balaclava on, he seem like an ok kid tbh, and pulling a gun over a kid on a bike with no weapon is stupid, but I don’t know anything about police so
