The sergeant did a good job of crowd management and calming down the situation. The one officer who left the suspect Caleb alone in the vehicle needs more mentoring. Especially in de-escalation.

Honestly the officer talking to the mom was out of line. It's late, she's probably tired, and wasn't being rude but trying to understand. Being patient when possible is part of being a good officer and it was absolutely possible there.
I actually don't mind Caleb and one of the other guys. They seemed like they were just on a power trip, just needed to be humbled and then they were lowkey chill. Probably the most chill, rational drunk guy you will ever seem. 13:51

I understand why the cops are the way they are – several drunk men and nobody's listening – but why is this cop with the orange subtitle acting so strangely? The mother comes out because she's been woken up and is just a bit overwhelmed, and he's acting like she's partly to blame for everything. I find that a bit odd, too. Also, why does he always have to respond to what the others are saying? Why doesn't he just ignore the drunks' stupid comments instead of always giving a counter-argument, which has absolutely nothing to do with "de-escalation"? I also work as a police officer in Germany; yes, it's different here than there, but sometimes I don't understand the reactions.
