Alex Murdaugh was pressed by prosecutor Creighton Waters about the video that depicts the disgraced lawyer with his wife and son at their dog kennel shortly before they were murdered. Waters grilled Murdaugh about why his story of the kennel visit changed leading up to the trial. The disbarred South Carolina attorney admitted he was with Maggie and Paul at the kennel on June 7, 2021, but claims he left that area of the property before the killings happened.

in the 911 call, alex says my wife and child have been shot badly. how could he tell they have been shot. if he came upon the bodies of maggie and paul lying there in the darkness by the kennels, he would not know how they had been killed.

This is a perp sounding like a confused man who relies on his gentle, southern voice to attempt to fool the jury. He keeps it up though, and is just realizing no one is falling for it.

He’s not saying what he did do he’s just saying well if I would’ve done it this way, then I would’ve maybe done it that way, but if it was that then I would’ve done this. I never would’ve done this. I sometimes always never would’ve. What a joke.
With him being an experienced attorneys, he totally blew it. Guilt- and privileged life where GREED took over his conscience. Sad. Rip Maggie and Paul. Praying for all victim victims and murdaugh family and friends. What a crying shame. Poor Buster
After times passed and I happened to watch this again, I obviously thought and now know he is guilty. Here’s what seals the deal for me… The prosecution keeps asking him if he told Maggie and Paul that he was leaving to go to “â€Em’sâ€. He claims he can’t recall. That would have been THE LAST thing he spoke to both his wife and his son before their murders. NO ONE would forget a conversation like that… NO ONE…. Even the KILLER HIMSELF!! He didn’t say anything to them because he was probably walking over to where he hid the mirror weapons at that moment…. Getting ready to slaughter them both. He’s a horrible man!!! Just horrible!!

Any time I've lost a loved one, I reflect and go back to whenever I last said goodbye to them — crystalizing that moment. If he was truly innocent, and came back and found them slaughtered by someone else, he would have very specific/vivid details of what exactly they last said to each other.
My brother passed away 10 years ago and I remember exactly what we talked about AT LEAST 2 days prior to his passing.
The fact that he can’t “recall†anything is…….chilling.
