Prosecutor Creighton Waters asked Alex Murdaugh for more details about his addiction to opiates. The disgraced lawyer testified the number of pills he took each day varied anywhere from a dosage of 1000mg to 2000mg. “I had a pocket full of pills,†Murdaugh said claiming he had the substance on him while talking to police on June 8, 2021, shortly after his wife and son were murdered.

I was a really bad addict. I would of done anything for a OC. There's no way he took 1500 mg of OC in a day. The most ive ever seen someone take is 12 80s a day. Thankfully ive been clean of all drugs sense 12-25-09. My last drink was 7-12-10 and i quit smoking the following year. I could no longer get high nor did i care to live. Pain killers are no joke and most people become addicted because of drs. My Dr proscribed my vic 7.5 when i was 16 for 9 mnths.

My restless legs have almost lasted a weel from opiate withdrawal. My other symptoms werent as bad as usual for some reason, though. No sweating or throwing up or anythinhg.

Yea, it's with drawals, withdrawals starts with extreme hot flash cold sweats. Restless legs syndrome. I never heard anyone say he was out of work sick. What did his family think he was sick. I'd like to know where u got so many. He's in cop car not searched.

All I know is that he made someone very rich by purchasing those oxy’s as much as he did.
Also he was paying 80$ a pill to his cousin so that’s about double the current street price which explains the crazy number of dollars spent he is claiming on oxy. I believe him as if I had the money I would’ve spent it all to get my fix also. Even if you know you are overpaying

That amount of pills is equal to a gram to 2 grams of heroin per day. A person can most definitely work up to that amount of opiate.
It's possible Alex Murdough is an addict but I suspect he was also onto "pharmaceutical distribution."

If only he had gotten help. M-done clinics do work even if it's seen as a "replacement". It gives you time to transition away from the dealers and the lifestyle of chasing pills. They definitely played a role, and I wouldn't doubt that they were the reason it happened. But, I can't help but wonder why exactly. Maybe Paul had talked his mom into leaving him, and that turned into muder. I'll never understand what's going on in someone's mind when they do something like this. It's crazy.
