“Paul found pills,†Alex Murdaugh said after explaining that both his wife and son were concerned about his addiction. Murdaugh testified that Maggie and Paul found his pills on numerous occasions throughout the years. “They had been watching me like a hawk for years,†the disgraced lawyer said after prosecutor Creighton Waters asked if his family was monitoring his substance abuse shortly before they were murdered on June 7, 2021.
