1. Speaking as a HS coach in Philly. We have to take the blinders off. I myself was completely blindsided at exactly how deep the streets go and how serious it is. I took 3 years off (back with a new HS this year) as a coach and mentor you really do have the power to save a life. Have those difficult conversations with your players. Watch their social media. I promise you, the result of sticking your head in the sand is extremely painful and life altering. It took me 3 years to recover. The young men I’ve lost are my motivation. I’m back for that 1 young man I might be able to show a new path. We win this war 1 life at a time. R.I.P. to all the victims. Kaseem, Messiah, Angelo, Woo, Nasir you guys are in my heart everyday 💔
