Can you imagine your dad, whom is a murder suspect in your mother's death, just suddenly show up at your school and tell you your dog is dead and your going to Costa Rica? The poor kids man…
I am a psychologist and this is what I can observe from this case.
1. As usual, criminals uses religion to hide their true intentions. She abused the church goers to seek help, being illegally in the US.
2. Westerners take it as their pride to let their women dress however they want and to show how pure and angelic they are being around half naked women and show no sexual attraction. But behind the curtains, they cannot control their sexual urges as a result of their "comfortably" (being sarcastic) dressed woman. This then leads to fornication, STDs, etc and in this case, destruction of a family and murder.
3. The sister of the victim quoted her sister saying "You dont know what they will do to me". Usually a wife unwillingly tolerates a cheating and or abusive husband because of wealth and provisions. Another common reason is when she herself had affairs with other men, which will result in her tolerate her husband's affairs out of guilt. A clean women would have given her husband a chance and then proceed to a divorce the 2nd or 3rd time.
These are a few things to consider. Humans are moral beings and they are bound by desires. No human can be persuaded forever and not break. They would need other coping methods to fight their desires. That is why we are to keep away from negative things and indulge in positive situations where your desires will be in control and there wont be any coping mechanism required. Faith in God and practicing religion is the only way to achieve it.
