First Amendment AUDIT 12: Man Refuses Breathalyzer + Threatens Me – Bethenny Frankel (SkinnyGirl)

In this video we come across a man being questioned by police who refuses to take a Breathalyzer test and threatens us for filming him. Bethany Frankel, a.k.a. Skinny Girl walks right though the scene in front of our cameras and we ask her about some recent tweets she made. Thanks for watching, commenting and subscribing!!

We believe that many of our rights and civil liberties as American citizens on American soil are at great risk and that a simple act of civil disobedience has the power to effect great change. While we have no interest or intention in breaking any law, we are willing to stand up for freedom and the constitution at any time and at any place and do so in a responsible and productive manner. It is our goal to create free and open discussion whenever possible in an effort to educate both ourselves and anyone with a desire to learn. A well known rule of government is that ignorance is no excuse for the law. It is our stand that we as Americans have been either uninformed or misinformed regarding our laws and rights for far too long. We are not attorneys or scholars, however we have been involved in professional photography for over 30 years and have had our rights and freedoms challenged more times than we can remember. No one group or person has the ability to effect change across the board, however we are committed to doing our part by continuing to stand up for our constitutional right to free press and the right to take photographs and video in public. All donations will be used exclusively to further this cause. Specifically, we  need to upgrade our computer, video editing software and purchase additional video gear. We want to thank you in advance for your support of what we do and want you to know that we are committed to working harder than ever to defend our rights, your rights and the Freedom to Film in Public!!

  1. Im gonna watch every video. New Yorkers are so triggered. Karen much? These are grown adults with obvious complexes and mental disorders. How do they keep their lives together and why aren't all of their kids in CPS/DCS? First time I ever saw these mentalities was 9/11. After that, even though it was tragic, I lost all respect for police and fire tyrants. 20 years later, they've not earned a single ounce of credibility back.

  2. You know, some people have legitimate "things to hide". Your tone when you say that someone who doesn't want to be filmed must have something to hide is always negative, as though there's never a valid reason to not want to be filmed. The fact is, people have no choice but to go out into public. The courts have said there's no expectation of privacy in public places. The courts are wrong. We don't sacrifice our right to privacy just because we are forced to have to do business in public places – sometimes against our will. Yes, you do have every right to video anyone in public. But just because you can do something, doesn't mean you always should! You don't know who might need you to not film them for their safety. But then where do you draw the line of when and who to record and who not to. What if someone is in the witness protection program? They don't have a choice but to be in public from time to time. That, by itself, could be dangerous for them. But then to have their faces broadcast over the internet, with a time and location no less. It's not like they're in public voluntarily. But the courts have said what they have.
But then, there are times when I think you could be more patient and understanding as well, remembering that most people don't understand that you're there for them, and that their first knee-jerk reaction is one of self-defense. Instead of getting defensives yourself right from the start, you could exercise a little more wisdom and be gracious with your respond since you understand why you're there, and they don't – yet. You know you'll have an opportunity to set the record straight. So cut them some slack for a bit until such a time as you can patiently and graciously teach them why it's in their best interest for you to be there.
I have learned from you, and I apprecaite that. But I often think you're too ready to be on the defensive when you don't have to be. To be sure, there are times when you do need to be. Just not every time someone reacts aggressively at first. They don't know; you do.
    Just my two cents worth.

  3. Only weird ppl go around with cameras recording ppl lol I’ve been on this earth 34 years and I can’t remember seeing someone recording ppl unless it’s like peep and Tom stuff lol he is a little guy so I’m sure he has a little man complex lol that’s why he gets fired up so fast. Then he does it to the police because he knows they can’t do nothing but he won’t do it to a regular guy like me when there is no police around. That I’ll put money on. I bet the police would love to see this dude get his ass beat lol but that’s uncalled for. It’s just weird to walk up on ppl and start recording that’s what he don’t get. Because who does that ? Nobody ever does this type of stuff other weirdos lol
