@Copwatchtv obtained body camera footage of chaos erupting on I-40 in Albuquerque when a city-employed mechanic crashed a stolen bus and began acting erratically on the freeway. This footage captures the intense moments as Albuquerque Police Department officers responded to the scene, where the suspect—later identified as a city employee—refused to comply and appeared to be attempting “suicide by cop.”
The situation escalated quickly as officers, initially drawing their service weapons, transitioned to less-lethal force to take the man into custody. Eyewitnesses describe the suspect flipping the bus multiple times before running into traffic and even being struck by another vehicle.
Following his arrest, the man was charged with DWI, leaving the scene of an accident, and resisting an officer. Records indicate he remained employed by the City of Albuquerque at the time of this video’s publishing.

Arrogant cops. Move his ass off the freeway so traffic can go through. There's no reason for this.
Was that Danny Devito living under the bridge?
He def could of been shot for playing the fake pulling a gun
As of today…he was name outstanding employee of the month 🎉
Amazing restraint
I SHOULD'VE TOOK A … LEFT …AT …ALBUQUERQUE 😢😢😢
That homeless guy got some nice boots
1:01 He is very lucky to still be alive after simulating a firearm with his hand.
Drugs are bad.
Was that a Taser or a Spiderman pistol shooting web?
1:37 errr he's literally laying on the floor 😂
0:58 cop is lucky he was bluffing and showed great control in a stressful situation. It's interesting that the guy under the bridge considered the cop pulling his firearm inappropriate, simply because he couldn't see the immediate threat the cop was facing, while he happily defers to the authority of doctors multiple times. Cops are rightly held to a high standard, but the public need to watch more bodycam videos and learn what LEO are really dealing with on a daily basis. I'm glad the cops got to go home with no wounds to their bodies or souls.
Why do cops in New Mexico block the highways for such a long time I have seen them do this everywhere in New Mexico instead of directing traffic they don’t pay any attention to the traffic and just leave them there for hours instead of a couple of state police officers or cops directing the traffic it’s probably pilled up for hundreds of miles you can’t do that on a highway but they do it all the time just because they can
Here before the CopWatch realizes they put bush instead of bus
Edit: it took 45 mins
Must have been some gnarly bush
2:50 going through a stranger's pockets has got to be one of the least favorite things that officers do
should have moved him off the freeway ASAP. would be terrrible if an accident was created due to failure to relocate. props to the civilians for assisting
😮
3:41 bottle of synthetic urine 😂
Dispatch we got a fat one here
I'm not for warning people they're about to get tased. I think it should come as a complete shock.
Just wondering is he still gonna have a job? I mean I only stole the bus so no big deal right ha ha ha ha ha ha
