This guy was withdrawing from a pain pill addiction when he set out for the pot candy. They ran with the legalized pot made him do it. I do believe he was in a psychosis that night but do to other addictions he was seriously withdrawing from.

Oh come on. He didn't kill her for the insurance while she was on the phone with 911. Give me a break. That candy was likely laced with something else. China makes these edibles now and puts all kinds of shit in them.
Marijuana will trigger psychosis in some cases. There's actually quite a few cases where someone got high and went crazy. Particularly when you had preexisting mental health problems.
