Crime Watch Daily’s Billy Jensen and Kelly McLear discuss details and developments in the investigation of the death of Faith Hedgepeth, a University of North Carolina student killed in her off-campus apartment in Chapel Hill in September 2012.
One of the many people police questioned was Eriq Takoy Jones. Jones is a former boyfriend of Faith’s roommate, Karena Rosario, and an aspiring rap artist.
According to police, the relationship between Eriq and Karena was deeply troubled in the weeks preceding Faith’s murder. Police learned that a restraining order was actually issued against Eriq by Karena in July 2012. The basis of that restraining order was a domestic assault.
The case remains open and the investigation is ongoing. No suspects have been named and no one has been charged.

Everything I have read regarding the evidence in this case refers to the voicemail and how it could've had the wrong timestamp due to a glitch. It's possible that it could've had the wrong time stamp, but that would be ruled out by checking the recipient's missed calls log and the sender's outgoing call log. In 2012, I had many voicemails that I received way later than I should've based on when I missed a call from a caller who ended up leaving a voicemail. The timestamp reflected the time I got the voicemail, not the time it was actually sent. My call log would tell me when I missed the call from the person who left the voicemail, and that would always be accurate.
Has anybody ever talked about what the recipient's and Faith's phone logs said?

The Rosie in the voicemail. I think I know who she is because if you look at faiths Instagram the photo she uploaded on the 26 of August in the comments she had a conversation with someone and tagged the person too. Well when I clicked on that profile on that persons profile it says rose 🌹 and also I wanted to mention that the comments have been deleted that were made by rose, only faiths comments are there.

What if faith wrote the note to some one and that what started the murder
I definitely suspect Erik and Rosario. The wording of that note sounds like something a teenage girl would say. I think the roommate wrote the note.
This story is heartbreaking. I hope the family gets justice for this beautiful young lady.

I'm also curious did the audio analysis expert, Mr.West, know anything about this case before hearing the audio? I hope he didn't so there is no audio matrixing.
(Just to be clear, what I mean by audio matrixing, is someone knowing names & info related to the case, and hearing some of that in the audio simply because the audio could say it based on what you were told or read before hearing the clip associated with it, thus what you claim you're hearing is based on suggestive influence)
I like to think Mr.West didn't have this info prior, but without that explanation presented clearly, as a viewer, I cannot say 100% that it's true without a person involved in the show saying so.
Crime Watch Daily, I gotta hand it to you not only for getting this voicemail from Faith's best friend, but getting it analyzed by someone who specializes in this type of audio. It's incredible to me that the police investigating didn't do this with it before CWD came to do the story. That's just baffling to me.
It was incredibly difficult to listen to, and gave me chills. Especially because I had headphones in and I was not directly looking at the screen until I needed to give it my full attention to verify what I thought I was hearing.
I feel so much for the family (and her true friends). This is so brutal and horrific, and I find it very disturbing that the police haven't released some info about the case… it makes me think there were more twisted, awful, unspeakable things done to her. This poor young woman.
I really hope to hear an update soon that there have been arrests made, or other updates that move this case to SOLVED STATUS.

The note is just a fake trace. And why all go for the word stupid as seen as an insult from one to another?

Yep, Eric didn't do it, thus was there and left before the commotion or the hit on the head..
Rosario (Rosie) did stay longer, probably helped to keep Faith down or so. The third person (Voice) involved is the one that was asked to hurt Faith. Thus a hit to the head (covered face) went stronger than expected and the all the sudden blood made the attackers leave and Faith bled to dead.
Questionable:
– the time that Rosario left Faith and the time of when she found her. Rosario said the body felt cold. Did the first responders checked that immediately??? Because the time period of Rosario leaving Faith and the 911 call is too short to make a body complete cold !!!
