Cops said they arrested him for turning around at a checkpoint, but the real reason is much worse

PAR investigates new data that confirms what many have long suspected: police-initiated car stops are not just deadly, but often blatantly unnecessary.

This week, PAR continues its coverage of the overt abuses of police power by examining new data that shows just how dangerous—and even deadly—systematic over-policing can be. PAR hosts Taya Graham and Stephen Janis break down several cases that show how police use pre-textual car stops to expand their power, challenge the constitutional rights of citizens, and expand the reach of the country’s law-enforcement-industrial complex.

  1. HA!!! I said the legalization of pot would piss off cops because "smelling cannabis" is the number one excuse cops use to harass black men. NOW I see the rest of the issue, those black men are sources of revenue for cops and for profit prisons….

  2. Back in the day, you might be accused of being a witch. There were persons designated to find witches. They were called
Witch prickers because they carried a sharp stick, and would prick you with the stick to determine if you were a witch. This is where the word prick actually comes from. Witch prickers were liked by the folks in power, and hated by the victims. But there was never such a thing as a witch. It was all about power and control, and still is today.

  3. When the roads are actually safer because we are following the rules, cops don't make money. So they don't actually want safer roads. They want you to violate the rules. So that they can take advantage of you. A safer more civilized society ruins their profits and their ego. The term "protect and serve" would just be a given. You wouldn't need to write it on a squad car. But when it's a lie, you need it on the car. They hnow it's a lie. And we do too.

  4. WE THANK YOU LORD FOR EXPOSING THE CORRUPTION THAT HAS DESTROYED FAMILY ALL OVER AMERICA CREATING THE Narrative no man in the house. ♥️♥️♥️👩🏽‍🦳

  5. MESSAGE TO THE REAL NEWS NETWORK. YOU KEEP MAKING THIS MISTAKE IN THE LAW. THE POLICE HAVE A LEGAL RIGHT TO ORDER DRIVERS AND PASSENGERS OUT OF THEIR CARS. EVEN IF THEY HAVE DONE NOTHING WRONG. IF SOMEONE REFUSES TO COMPLY WITH THIS LEGAL ORDER, THE POLICE ARE THEN AUTHORIZED TO USE FORCE. PLEASE GOOGLE THIS LAW AND USE IT WHEN YOU SEE CITIZENS REFUSING TO EXIT THEIR VEHICLES UPON COMMAND BY POLICE.
