Chicago, Illinois — On July 24, 2023, the Chicago Police Department (CPD) received a complaint for a trespassing incident in the area of 300 W. 56th Place. Chicago Police officers monitored the area through a Police Observation Device (POD) and observed a group of individuals in a cul-de-sac. Several Chicago Police Officers arrived in the area in four unmarked police vehicles. Upon their arrival, officers exited their vehicles to engage the group of individuals on foot as well as an individual driving a black sedan. While on foot, multiple officers attempted to engage the driver of the BMW sedan, as the vehicle attempted to leave the area, striking a police vehicle, and ultimately fleeing the scene. During this altercation, two officers discharged their firearms at the moving sedan.

Bodycam footage shows officers repeatedly ordering the man to pull over, but he continued to drive as many officers attempted to open the door. One officer, with his gun drawn and aimed at the BMW’s driver, yelled for his fellow officers to “watch for the crossfire” before firing three shots in the direction of the driver. The officer’s initial shot appeared to have struck another CPD officer in the left hand, who was attempting to open the car door. The BMW driver was able to flee, and officers on the scene swiftly called “10-1,” a police emergency, to report bullets fired by authorities. The gunshot seemed to strike the wounded officer’s middle and ring fingers, according to the video. The wounded officer crouched to the ground after being shot and noticed blood gushing from his hand. A tourniquet was quickly administered by another officer. The officer was quickly transported to UChicago Medicine, but not before several neighbors began insulting the officer who shot his colleague.

  1. We should build a ghetto kike the Nazis did back in ww2. Lets say the size if the smallest state in the USA. Throw all the ghetto thrash there and no cops no hospital no schools and just let them behave however they like. It would be interesting 🤔 to see how things turn out.

Proceeds to fire while a fellow officer is in front of him, smh.
Hopefully that officer has a speedy recovery.

  3. I think the suspect can be charged with the injury as he was the ultimate cause of it. I'm not a cop and I'm not a lawyer, but I did stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night. I think that would be the same as if you and an accomplice pull a bank-robbery and either your co-defendant pew pews the security guard, or the security guard pew pews your co-defendant, you can be charged with either party's un-alive-ing

  4. Yeah that dribble definitely didn't need a tourniquet. Probably did more damage than good placing it on the forearm. But we didn't see them tighten it so maybe they realized that too and just staunched the bleeding with some gauze on their way to the hospital

  5. trashy people are so trashy. i feel so bad for any good ppl left in chicago. they should move out when they can, get away from the animals. hope the officer heals up

  6. I don’t think that cop should have shot with the officer still in the line of fire. If the officer would have jumped back from the car instead of just having his hand go back trying to open the door he would have gotten shot in the body. Officer 3 needs some more training. I do understand it’s a tense situation and is difficult.

  7. What the hell is going on, man! You got crossfire, officers not paying attention to what's past there target, officers running around with there heads cut off, nobody knows how to put on an effing tourniquet. The more I watch these videos, the more I see Los Angeles, Chicago, New York, etc. cops have a complete lack of fundamental training.

  8. Why do democrats and black people of higher status ignore the atrocity that is happening in Chicago? It is black people being killed every day by black people for the most part. Why is there no national outrage? Why is there no national response?

  9. That cop is about to be the joke of the department forever. “Watch for cross fire!” And shoots his hand 🤣

  10. Cop yells “Watch the cross fire!!”

Proceeds to shoot his partner 😐

If you slowdown the playback speed of the video at 0.25X at minute 2:58 you can see how it happened! 😥

& yes, I know it was obviously an accident.
