Atlanta, Georgia — On Monday, April 4, 2022, at approximately 8:45 a.m., officers responded to 888 Ralph David Abernathy Blvd SW in reference to stolen auto with child inside. Upon arrival, officers met with caller, Jerrica Moore who advised she had pulled into the parking lot of the location, where she exited her vehicle, leaving her keys and her 9-year-old son inside. Suddenly an unknown male jumped into her vehicle and sped away from the location with her child still in the car. Officers immediately responded to the scene and began their preliminary investigation. Moore was able to track her son’s iPhone using “my location” and relay real time tracking information to officers.

Atlanta Police with the assistance of Georgia State Patrol (GSP), Fulton County PD and the Fulton County Sheriff’s responded and used the tracking information to work at locating the vehicle. An Atlanta officer was able to spot the vehicle being closely pursued by GSP. The suspect attempted to flee from officers, but GSP was able to successfully execute a precision immobilization technique (PIT) to render the vehicle immobile. The suspect was taken into custody without incident. The suspect who has been identified as Darius White (DOB 11/83) was charged with Kidnapping, Cruelty towards Children, and Theft by Taking. White was transported to Grady detention where he will undergo further evaluation. As a precautionary measure, the 9-year-old was transported to Hughes Spalding to be checked by medical professionals. Atlanta detectives responded to the scene to lead the investigation.

  1. So let's take a survey.

Assuming all is true. ( Dude abducted a kid ). And that's what the cops where operating on.

At minute 1:45. Who thinks the cop should of put his knee on the back of the dudes neck to help subdue him.

And you can see he has been taught to . He almost did then stopped.

  2. Wonderful job officers. I know that mother was going crazy. I’m so happy for her getting her child safe. This could have really gone the wrong way. Thank you God for a happy ending. 🙏🏼🙏🏼

  3. “He hit us, that’s messed up. He tried to kill us!” lmfao this shit is hilarious, I wouldn’t believe a line like that if it was written on a show

  4. That officer was about to bust a Derrick Chauvin, and thought whoa I know how much the media hates cops and the democrats love criminals, let me just use my hand instead 🤣🤣🤣

  5. And yet we have a Mayor who wanted to abolish these folks and replace them with private security and Social workers. Thankfully APD and Fulco PD were still able to do their jobs unimpeded by politics that day! It probably saved this child's life.

  6. "my mom called you?"
"Yes, I'm going to take you to your mom."
"excuse me, I want to go now."

First what a very polite young man. Second this is why I couldn't be a cop… Our laws are too soft on crime. These child abducting pedo's especially when caught red handed need to be taken out back & put down.

  7. All pedophiles and the people pushing their sick agenda in our schools / communities must be put on trial for child abuse / crime's against nature and hung. It's that simple.

  8. I think police cameras are after backfiring on the people who wanted them…they seem to show the lies of what alot of people will say and do and not the police..it actually shows the police being nice and respectful in most videos..about 90% of the videos I've watched the police are respectful and helpful…

  9. I love how this officer carried this child and tried to calm him down by giving him support, i would love to see the same mentality in our Polish Police.

  10. They way that officer is handling/touching that kid, you can clearly see that he has som real genuine love for him and is almost just as scared on his behalf. Faith in humanity restored i say!
