I think stepmom is innocent. She would not have tried CPR or called 911. Maybe it was more negligence…should have checked on her more during the nap.

The one thing that strikes me as odd is if the 8 year old did it, why couldnt she hear the 2 year old scream. Even if Im outside, if I hear one of my babies scream or cry Im going to hear it. Second thing, a 8 year old does not have the mental capacity to think ahead. The 2 year old was found at the bottom of the stairs and I guarantee you she did not fall down there. This means if the 8 year did do it she would have to think ahead and carry dead weight down the stairs and position her like she fell. A 8 year old would not think that way. Thirdly, Im in school right now for nursing and people do not realized the amount of force it would take to hurt a 2 year old like that. I mean tremendous force.

This is really sad. I believe Emily is innocent and the 8 year old should be questioned more. A few things that stood out to me: 1. A child that behaves unruly and aggressive is a reflection of the mother. So I can only assume that the biological mother is a bit narcissistic…which I confirmed while watching and listening to her interview. (The whole “know it all†persona, etc) That mother’s DIRECT EXTENSION of narcissism? Her unruly 8 year old child.
I have some disabilities and I have managed my behaviour but I used to have worse outbreaks and I could of hurt someone she is innocent 😢

I think that Defries's claim (the eight year old did it) is plausible, so why do I not see anybody interview the sister? Like a child psychologist or something? I think that as long as it is possible, the eight year old should be investigated.

she was revealed as the monster to blame her husband-to-be's other little child for the murder. That woman couldn't've cared less about his daughters, she wanted them both gone, she wanted him all for herself and her own child. The quintessential "wicked stepmother," lucky she got imprisoned or the elder sister would've probably had an "accident" too. But that woman should have been sentenced to life in prison.
Withholding information and lying aren't the same thing
A parent would take the fall if their kid was that young and it was an accident they would never out their children for it they would take the fall and for the rest of their lives let the world think that it's their fault that other one died just so the living child wouldn't grow up with that hanging over them.

as a toddler, i've choked a smaller baby with a pillow haha trust me children can get JEALOUS and do things that they don't really know can be lethal to someone… ( i didn't kill the baby don't worry, i was just jealous that he took my pillow and i pulled it from underneath him and pressed it on his face, neither mine nor his parents would leave us play alone at this fragile age and were there to split us away from each other… and to give me back my precious pillow haha)

She should not have been left with all those kids she looked like a kid herself. that is way too much especially with a special needs crazy ass eight year old. …The guy Brandon is no where to be found barely a photo of him and I feel he is just as guilty to leave them alone like that he should have gotten some time too at least three years.

It's NOT far fetched, kids become jealous and hurt their siblings all the time, so l DON'T know why pple acting like it's unheard of. The girl was 9, so aint No telling WHAT she could've done! The Lady is saying she didn't harm the lil girl, l believe her, but then again, OUR OPINION doesn't matter!!!!

Had a similar situation around where I live. Neighbors 6yr old killed their 2 month old infant by picking her eyes out and beating her with a plastic truck. The child also sodomized her corpse.

When I was I don't know maybe 9 or 10 my little sister pushed our younger sister down some stairs and thank God my younger sister is okay now but then she was bleeding profusely, her head had been busted open it was bad so I 100% believe this woman because I have seen first hand what children can do
