Think about this: The cops in that jurisdiction were treating drunk driving like a HOBBY. They were doing it so often that they concocted a scheme to get away with it when caught. That is some next level depravity.

Trust in cops in New Mexico is very very low right now, so it's nice as a resident to see this officer treated the same as a citizen. It's going to take action like this to earn the state's faith back, I think.

Early in my restaurant career (1990-1991) cops would get hammered at the bar. Chugging margaritas. Slamming shots of tequila. They all drove home when they could barely walk. Bodycams changed everything
