  1. Why the hell are y’all keep shooting the dude as he’s trying to come out that doesn’t make any sense. I don’t blame her for not coming out. He’s naked getting blasted with pepper balls. Poor guy doesn’t know what to do.😅😅

  2. The post incident interview is interesting because it directly conflicts with some of the things seen in the video.

For example he states how something isn't right with the suspect because he wasn't instinctively taking cover from where he was being shot from. The first time he was starting to emerge he got shot with pepper balls and did retreat back into the cover of the dumpster, and in the second time emerging he wasn't be shot at.

He said that he shot because the taser was ineffective, the taser had not been deployed yet at that time.

He said he shot the 4th round because the first three didnt stop them. At the time of the 4th shot the dog was latched onto his leg on the ground.

I think his instinctive action to shoot was ultimately fine in this scenario, but his recollection seems to suggest he had 0 idea of what was going on which is very dangerous when he was the designated lethal cover. From that perspective the firing absolutely makes sense

  3. So. It was a problem for a White cop to shoot a black man who charged at officers and had allegedly r*ped a woman. That’s what BLM was offended over? BLM is such a f*cking joke.

  4. This is what happens when liberal politicians tie the hands of police officers….. "pepperballs" lol and that stupid sergeant lady cop, I thought she was going to order the rapist a pizza and a beer. That looked like HORRIBLE police work… sorry to say it. I hope the officer that got fired moved to Florida he was the only one that seemed to do his job the right way

  5. The fact that the "hands are empty" comment wasn't brought up, even by the officer who said it is nuts. He likely didn't hear that comment and thought an armed naked man was running. I think he was justified based on the fact no one communicated over the radio tht he wasn't armed.

  6. This story is what’s wrong with the justice system in this Country! A police officer doing his job to serve and protect, gets fired for shooting a rapist, a convicted violent felon.

  7. This sounds like a radio malfunction for the officers or perhaps wrong channel. How did several officers not hear the other officers. I feel there is a miscommunication going on here more the being at fault.

  8. Shame on Minnesota for firing the cop who was doing his duty to the community. The guy is a rapist, humiliated a woman by filming and broadcasting the rape, made threats to kill at knifepoint, and then even tried to bite officers when they rendered first aid. Utterly vile.

  9. I have bipolar type 1, and I was really struggling. But as soon as I realized that my struggles were of my own making, I chose to go into intensive treatment, therapy and medication. I must have tried 50 different medications until I found one that plugged me back into the matrix. I’ve stayed here for 25 years now and I love it! No manic episodes, no depression (I still have anxiety, but that I can live with.) Now people I meet have no idea that I have bipolar, and I prefer it that way. So if I can do it, so can others.❤

  10. This is a perfect example of a failed state. We care more about a drug idled rapest than the officers or community. They care more about the race of the fugitive, this shit would only happen in a shit hole like Minnesota. A blue shit hole.

  11. Cop didn't have a reason to shoot. Sorry. He lacks trigger discipline. Dude was a good 10 feet from any officer and had the canine on him. Officer also almost hit his fellow officers. Having said that if the naked dude has died I wouldn't shed a tear, but that moment was not a good moment to open fire.

  12. This incident report determined Officer Dean had reasonable belief that he was protecting himself and the other officers. No chargers were filed. So, why publicly fire him? Timing. This happened in the same city, same department, just months after George Floyd was killed. I think the Chief fired Officer Dean because he was afraid of what might happen if he didn’t. He shot an aggressive criminal running toward them. He was the one designated to lethal force and he shot him in the legs… 😒

  13. We're not far from medieval times if law enforcement gets in trouble for shooting this subhuman degenerate, who was clearly acting dangerously at the time of being shot. Hell, not so long ago, running away from police was enough to justify them shooting, but fighting a valuable K9 is enough reason.

  14. Even if this was years ago during a troublesome political period, this is one mishandled case (by the police chief).

First of all, the police decided on a non-lethal tactic, but still had lethal coverage. It's all well and good the plan was to apprehend the suspect (should always be the objective), but in case the suspect is not compliant, flees or fights the police… any sane person knows you will need lethal. Things can turn out differently than you plan and there's no guarantee any one police encounter can be fully handled without force or lethal action. The police clearly know (and knew) this too, hence why they bring lethal coverage.

Secondly, reviewing the entire case, even if this was not known at the time, it means that the Officer Dean shot a drugged up rapist and a burglar who was fleeing the police. So what's the problem here? If the suspect wanted this not to happen, he could at any moment have surrendered to the police, not run at them or better yet: not commit any of his vile crimes. This is not the officer approaching the suspect and shooting him, this is the officer taking down the suspect who is trying to either flee or assault police officers.

It's insane that Officer Dean was fired regardless of what he knew about the suspect or if he audibly heard hands were empty. He simply did his job as lethal coverage and as a society we can only lament that he by chance didn't manage to do it lethal enough. That is one vile suspect that deserved much, much worse.

  15. To the police chief, justice world… favour the perp & forget the victim in this evil crime… the officer acted due to his training….The perp. was a substance fuelled, evil man, & gets what? Protected…
You have failed the officer you sacked, & the victim… The perp should have been at least 6’ under…
