Disgraced lawyer Alex Murdaugh was set to reveal records of financial crimes in court just days after his wife and son were murdered at their South Carolina home. Speculators have suggested that the disbarred attorney murdered his family to garner sympathy and create a distraction from his financial crimes.

If it were revenge for Malory beach the targets to kill would have been Alex, and Randolph for the cover ups it wouldn’t have been paul and it definitely wouldn’t have been Maggie.

I believe that Maggie has/had a sizable amount of assets that go to Alex. Also, if you think Alex Murdaugh didn’t have affairs and mistresses….puuuuleeez!
Theory:
Alex has dinner with them. paul leaves the table. alex hears as if paul has gone with a car. maggie says she wants to go check the kennels, alex offers to take her there. he shoots her, paul appears by mistake. alex shoots him first to stop him from running and the second time to his head. hence he has 2 shots. alex drives out to go to his mom, on the way he throws away the murder weapon , which is the missing replacement gun. on his way back, guilty conscience makes him make several calls to several people to try act normal. it was a bit strange he was calling all manner of people late at night on his way back form his mom. he then gets to his home, plays the movie act while calling 911. the murders took place before he left to see his mum. thats why pauls friend could not reach him by phone from 8.40pm onwards. his biggest regret is killing paul thats why he said he did him bad, he was a young good lad. now prosecution have to prove this to nail him.

Paul's court costs were about to become enormous, and Murdaugh was out of money.
I think in this case he went to find to park the car and leave the phone in the car and take his car keys out and Lock it and he took the gun and look at his family and he decided to kill his Wife and Son. And he also say take my boat and run away his another son drive the boat to Cover his tracks and. I think he is Guilty so that’s why he is upset what he did is wrong so that’s why it happen. So his another son took the gun to Protect himself and he went to his another son and kill his wife and son so that’s why

So far I think that he is being set up for all the horrible things he did, I think someone took out his wife and son as a way to make him finally get behind bars since he was too powerful to be properly prosecuted beforehand
Ok the guy is crooked but I just can’t believe he is guilty of the murder for the simple fact they were killed by 2 different guns. Nobody is smart enough to pull that off. Only way that could be possible if they were murdered at separate times. If anything he killed one of them and somebody else killed the other. Either way there were 2 shooters.

Maggie was looking to divorce him , he had put a lot of property in her name , Paul was going to court for killing Mallory. Alex was about to lose his fortune — money was all he cared about. I call that motive !

And, if we are talkin about who would have a motive to kill Maggie, even if they wanted to kill Paul, of course entertaining the idea that it was someone else, if they killed Paul, and Maggie was there, then they would probably kill Maggie too. No witnesses. And let's not forget, especially if you're from South Carolina, and you know this family or you know people who know this family, I assure you, that family had plenty of enemies

In opening statement, both sides mentioned that an hour before the killing, there is a video of the dad and son laughing. What is the dad wearing in that video? Are they the same clothes he was wearing when he was questioned by the police and that the police took to test? If not, when did he change and why? If so, why is there no blood residue on any of it. Nobody has mentioned whether the clothing they took from him was the same as what he had on earlier in the day.

Alex said he called both and neither answered their phone so he left and went I think to his moms. Where was Maggie and Paul’s cars parked when the police got there? Is Alex saying he woke up, called them and got no answer, got in his car and left even though their car was parked beside his? Never checked to see if everything was ok.

This is not fabrication, I heard in one report Maggie was separated from him and was looking into their financing with Alex, if he was going to kill them, do you think he was going to make an announcement.

I'm just thinking, Paul called 9-11 when the housekeeper fell. Alex stole the Maids insurance settlement. Paul caused a fatal boat accident. And was laughing at the accident scene. Did Alex involve Paul in the maids death? Was Paul responsible for the maids "accident"? To help his dad stay rich? Did Buster kill Stephen Smith, to cover their alleged physical relationship? The entire family is poisonous and toxic. Busters girlfriend should run far away from him. JMO. They have luck worse than the Kennedys. Thanks to their greed
