YNW Melly, born Jamell Demons, is set to appear in court today a status hearing. The rapper stands accused of murdering two of his friends in October 2018 and staging the murders to look like a drive-by shooting. Authorities allege 24-year-old Demons killed aspiring Florida rappers YNW Juvy, aka Christopher Thomas Jr., and YNW Sakchaser, aka Anthony Williams, with Cortlen Henry, aka YNW Bortlen. The judge overseeing Melly’s initial trial declared a mistrial after the jury could not reach a unanimous verdict.
