Boy, ya sure can tell that defense attorney gets paid by the hour! 😬
Third time for me. What a case!
7:23:55 uhhhh what did I do on Monday? Uhhh ya know I just don’t know. SMH
The Judge is so passive….he just allows the defense attorneys to do whatever they wants….weird.
And I’d like a nice Chianti Clarice—Hannibal Lecter
Judge sounds so bored lmao
1:20:31 court begins
This is the second time I have watched this case, and I had forgotten how unprepared the defense was.
It would be nice if we could see the exhibits. I’m about to stop watching because of that reason
This defense team is insufferable
Literally feels like this is the first day for the defense team of 20 past retirement . These boys are lost 😂 they have no idea how to defend anyone atleast not anymore . Maybe back in your prime days but boys it’s time to throw in the towel . Especially old boy up there at the beginning . This whole trial in general has seemed so unorganized and not typical of a usual trial . Even the wording for both sides have been weird when asking questions as if they have forgotten what occupation they’ve picked . Literally embarrassed for them . I’ve also never have seen a trial that hasn’t show the screen on parts that aren’t gruesome . The literally haven’t shown the screen once . Which gives so much perspective when hearing evidence to be able to see it for yourself . I definitely feels like brings your closing thoughts into place . I know we’re not jurors but we have the right to watch the evidence as well . Obviously gruesome and personal stuff no . This whole thing just seems so thrown together from so many different angles and it all isn’t making sense . This is and example of how not to conduct a trial !
So unorganized……..
And did alexs GSR come back positive and if not why so if he and his son were shooting that evening that should have been within the timeframe of the GSR test needing to be done. Kinda shows he washed up prior to police being on scene
I love Waters! He is an a zing prosecutor! If I were a criminal I would surely stay out of trouble knowing I’d face him !
Amazing work and he commands attention ! Love this guy ! We need more like him!
Let’s get billboards up all over our south scaring these lowlife criminals w Waters face ! He should train every prosecutor in this country !
You think that this big to-do lawyer would have an amazing point driven lawyer that was fast acting, proactive and knew what was going on, what exibit is what, how the court processes work, ect. Just amazed how this guy thought he had this in the bag when the whole defense was grasping at straws of what the state did wrong. And it kinda feels that way maybe because they called sled in right away because of the conflict of interest; case and point: captian of ccso stated he had preferred if the sheets were not placed because of evidence though since the chief of the FD had history with the family he wanted to show humility probably thinking there was mo way alex did this and probably just didnt want him to have to stand there looking at them. Which i would say is a conflict of interest. Especially since if you listen closely to the chief of FDs testamony yoy can hear him state that he was on his way home from work. Most firemen work 48 hr shifts on off so he must have been heading home from that kind of shift and i did not hear one person request fire let alone the off duty fire chief that has personal relationships to the family to ruch to alexs aid more in a consuling friend rather than a professional. This alex guy is sick in the head getting so excited to work as a lawyer puppetier at his own trial for murdering his son that cost him his reputation and money from a boat accident and his wife that found out about the millions he stole as a lawyer and that they were still broke so she was about to file or did file for a divorce. This is just speculation but i really feel that mini me buster the surviving son needs to find jesus and quick and keep a distance from alex if he has a chance at being not as creepy sick as his dad. Already feels like he has done sick things looking into busters eyes. Interested to see the outcome of the investigation and case reopened on busters classmate stephan i believe his name was that ended up dead in the middle of the road after plenty of folks saw him with buster directly prior to his suspicious death right near where he was found.
The defense attorney is definitely one irritating individual. I dont think the witness at all appreciated his comments in relation to the four wheelers at all. Basically made her look ignorant because she said she did not know what they used their ATVs for. That was very disrespectful
Great strategy, the defense seems to only reiterate the prosecutions case and bore the jury with unimportant details.
@ 7:55 02 Alex said something about the gun with the light that he used “that Night"
1:18:32 Sound begins, Judge & jury enters

6:27:10 Break ends
6:28:15 Prosecution continues direct with Jeff Croft
8:50:50 Direct examination ends
8:51:57 Court recesses for the day
Creighton Waters is beast of a prosecutor. Just hearing him say "may it please the court" commands your respect.
I want to scream every time the defense attorney says “I’m sorry?â€
"Hi, I'm representing Alex Murdaugh. Can I use your entire report that has all the information that I don't have to ask you questions…?"
I don’t do these usually so sorry for the confusion, hopefully this helps someone
1:21:45 defense questions witness 8
2:04:15 defense continues to question witness 8 after short break
2:59:01 prosecutors redirect witness 8
3:14:21 break
3:32:47 witness 9 and prosecution guns
5:12:50 break
6:28:15 witness 9 and prosecution 2nd interview
I hope Murdaugh didn't pay too much for his defense because…. oof, embarrassing.
Harpootlian is a bully blow bag of hot air!
96 degrees accounts for the opposite side of the angle which when you add them both up makes a straight line of 180 degrees 😂
Why wasn’t there an objection to defense counsel testifying continuously!!!!
This man is obnoxious and his courtroom decorum could use some work. Actually, forget decorum. I’d settle for civility. His rudeness is beyond horrible.
Arguing with witnesses, testifying rather than asking a question of the witness, and shaming and berating the law enforcement personnel and the other criminalists.
He asks improper questions of witnesses, questions that are beyond the scope of their knowledge or involvement in the case. And his lack of preparation is unforgivable. His cross gives the impression he hasn’t even taken time to read through any of the discovery provided to him by the state.
Ms. Worley suffered through his insulting treatment of her with such class.
3:37:00 Prosecution lays down Paul's communication just before his death. (Alex's voice will be audible…) But that's impeachment, so Prosecution is holding off on that tidbit…
The fake crying…..it's too much, esp during the recording at the end and the throat clearing!! What's up with that!?! He goes from sobbing/sniffling to making çhit chat with the officers. I don't even need to see his face to hear the sobbing is false.
I'm just over two hours ,35 mins through and the defence explanation of the bullet trajectory and two shooters doesn't make sense at all. But what makes more sense is that they were all there together to start off. Then the defendant sends his sun up to the house for something. The defendant kills his wife with the rifle. The bullet hole could have been made at any time prior or after as a smoke screen. The defendant then lays in wait pacing the dog house. The son comes back and on seeing her drops to the floor crying while on hi knees the defendant shoots him from the doorway going through the boy. But he has tears all over his face. So the defendant does his head to remove any evidence of that .
The defendant sure does turn the water works on & off when it suits him.
I really dislike the defense phrase of 'You will agree with me that…' 😬 Just ask a question man.
This Judge has had 6 days of extreme prejudice towards the defense, and it should be noted that after he helps railroad Murdaugh, they should be asking the State that he's not allowed within 10,000 miles of the retrial.
I don't know if this has been brought up as yet BUT………… If Alex Murdaugh didn't do it, as he claims, and went to Paul's and Maggie's bodies to check if they were alive, and tried to turn Paul over, then why was there no blood on his shoes or his clothes………. UNLESS he cleaned himself up before calling the police. Guilty imo.
Has this defense lawyer even got the remotest clue about what he's doing????? This is all just bluster and bluff with literally 'nothing' to present or ask. If Murdaugh payed top dollar for this clown then he was robbed big time and should have settled for government assistance. What a joke.
This defence lawyer’s tactic of asking people if they did things that weren’t their responsibility or not normally done so that he can claim the forensics were flawed is so painful to watch. I hope the jury will see through this nonsense. Just waiting on him asking “so did you question the man on the grassy knoll?â€
1:30:49 had the FULL weekend to prepare this cross. YIKES.
I started watching the trial midway thru Alex’s testimony. I kinda felt bad for him (not knowing the case) then I watched the docu last night and now watching him I can tell he’s guilty asf
I wish they showed things that aren’t very pretty… just like the Kyle rittenhouse trial. They show it all and made it very much more impactful
People in small towns that are wealthy think they’re above the law, but at the same time makes them sloppy during crimes. I’ve seen it first hand.
I don't understand, so this criminalist can't answer if there was one or more shooter? But that's her job … to know this
I could listen to Special Agent Croft read the dictionary 😂 He’s got a wonderful voice
My thoughts so far are
1) Alex planned on killing his wife and didn’t expect his son to be there so when the son heard the shooting or whatever happening he started to come out the kennel and so he had to shoot him too
2) Alex was planning on killing his son because of the fortune it was going to cost over the boat accident and didn’t realize his wife would be there also .
3) Alex and Buster planned on killing them for money …..
I definitely feel like Buster was involved in some way .
Defenses whole plan is to make investigators appear incompetent and to show as much graphic evidence as possible so the defendant can act out his hysterics. I hate to say it but defense won the battle today so far. Not the best witness, she seemed extremely nervous which optically in a trial isn’t great.
Man I feel sorry for the jurors . They are going to need a months worth of vacation after this trial.
“What’s so special about special agent “ he’s so smug as if him and his murderer are the best to walk earth
The defense so far seems to talk down on witnesses as if their high rank jobs are nothing .
All that sniffing during the interview, leads me to believe ole Alex had more than an opiate addiction…..
