Watch Live: Iowa Family Murders Trial — IA v. Alexander Jackson — Day Seven

A 22-year-old Iowa man faces three first-degree murder charges for the deaths of his father, mother and sister. Prosecutors allege Alexander Jackson shot all three family members on June 15, 2021, before calling the police to report that a masked intruder shot his family. Jackson denied the allegations but told authorities “his father recently told him to get a job or move out of the home,” the criminal complaint said. Prosecutors believe the shootings were done execution style and a coverup plan was in place by Jackson.

  1. I just listened to the prosecutor. I’m a little embarrassed to listen to Mr. Johnson. I feel like he should just say “she made amazing points, nothing further your honor” lmao

  2. This all goes back with the Obama Admistration. We had few incidents like this as well as fewer killings. He was no Christian in my humble opinion. He was bound and determined to make this country a Muslim nation in my opinion. Look what has happened in the current Admistration. Defund the police, spie on christian families, allow men in womens bathrooms, allow transgender males in womens sports, trumped up allegations against a former president, left our borders unprotected for votes and allowing criminals, drug cartels and human trafficking. This is what moral decay looks like. High food and gas prices. Try to tell me I'm wrong. Use critical thinking when you go to vote. Save our country from illegals or end up like Venezuela….

  3. I love watching trials , and keeping a close eye on the system, but I don't know about you guys, but by far the the most ridiculous case to go to trial with not a shred of a defence has to be Joel guy ! I felt so sorry for squidwood err sorry I meant his defence when the prosecution had a slam dunk, it amazes me why they even try their luck !
It's probably just a nice day out for the freak .

  4. Lots of you watch lots of crime trials, I'm sure. Were you aware that this is the third trial of a late-twenties, early-thirties man in recent history who was too lazy to work who killed his parents because they wouldn't support him anymore? The third one. It's hard to wrap my head around.

  5. Not sure I agree with prosecutions work like so many on here are saying..
I need a LOT more reasonable explanations rather than a lot of guessing..and she's got lots of guessing she wants done..not impressed with this

  6. Every K-9 Units, Every K-9 Police Officer Handlers, Every K-9 Human Partners should be 100% INSULTED by that PUFFED UP MALE PEACOCK who disdained EVERY AMERICAN K-9. HE SHOULD GO BACK AND STAY IN GERMANY.

  7. Watching these trials, hearing the L.E.O.’s, the lab experts, the crime scene units, ETC., testify bring me back to fiction book authors and their book series, such as “The Truth Seekers” by Susan Sleeman. “O’Malley Book” series by Dee Henderson. While healing from my injury I did a lot of reading🤭, it helped through the surgeries.

  8. This is by no means a comment on what is being talked about or the people involved, but can someone please explain to me why, when I fall asleep to YouTube or let YouTube continue to play for extended times, why does it end up playing some ridiculously long judicial matter or political video…

  9. Defense is ridiculous, and the prosecution never has to prove motive, but I see why he asks the question of WHY would Alex do this, because I’ve watched every second of this trial, and while he’s obviously guilty, this is the most senseless family murder I’ve ever even heard of. We don’t have the faintest idea of what on Earth led up to this, and it’s just baffling.

  10. I just read a story about a Florida couple that was nearly beaten to death by their 40 year old son. He was asking for money. As a parent, our job is to teach our child from an early age to be self-sufficient. By age 5, I knew I would be supporting myself. I earned money mowing lawns, shoveling snow, washing cars. If you wait until a child is an adult, for most, its too late to motivate them to be self sufficient.

  11. ….okay, I do find her point about the "intruder" after executing 3 people gets spooked when he shoots the most able bodied person who would present the biggest threat to him, in the foot, he takes off. I mean, of course it could be possible. Wow. I really do not know what to think.

  12. Man, I'm really blown away by both of these attorneys, I really am. I watch true crime, court cases etc, pretty much constantly and I genuinely don't know what to think. So, by default, I would have to vote not guilty.
I disagree with some of you guys. I think the prosecutions delivery was definitely persuasive but they don't have any freaking evidence!!! None. It's all insinuations and presumptions. She's certainly confident and yes persuasive but the defense attorneys argument was 100% more logical, to me. Idk. I hope an innocent man doesn't go to jail, nor a guilty man walk. God bless all involved and i tip my hat to both of these attorneys. Well done.
