Former ice cream truck driver Michael Keetley is facing a retrial for allegedly shooting six people on Thanksgiving 2010, killing two brothers, and injuring four others. Prosecutors allege Keetley was out for revenge after his ice cream truck was robbed for $12, but mistakenly targeted the wrong suspects. Keetley’s first trial in February 2020 resulted in a deadlocked jury. The former ice cream man is facing two first-degree murder charges and four counts of attempted murder.
Reason For Retrial: Defense attorney’s argued Keetley was too badly wounded from his own shooting, to carry-out the shooting in Ruskin that killed two people. Weak witness testimony led to a mistrial in 2020, after some state witnesses failed to identify Keetley as the shooter, identifying another man in a police mug shot packet. Defense witnesses were more exacting in their testimony, which led to a jury deadlock of 10 not guilty, 2 guilty, and eventually a mistrial.

I just found this trial. Did not watch the first one. This crime at that house sounds like a drug or drug money gang type of crime, Especially that area). Micheal could no way, quickly or not, shoot someone with a gun like that. I’ve shot with rifles & now with neuropathy, nerve damage in shoulder kickback alone is very painful & I know Michael has nerve pain in his shoulder, no ability in the right hand, first shot if he got would be painful & he could no way get another shot off for about 4-5 min!! Also the other shots he got had affected his gait in walking.
A real-life batman! Oh wait, let's call him: "icecreaMan"!
Were it not for his writing style, he would've been a real vigilante crime stopper.

This defense attorney sounds more like a game show host than an attorney…………I wonder if being a game show host is a side job for him and sometimes the line between jobs get a bit blurred.
I don’t think I could ever be a juror at this point. It just rubs me the wrong way when any attorney talks this way or questions this way. I would just hate to sit through it. For some reason in my head, it seems almost disrespectful in a way. I know it’s there job and he is doing his job etc. that is why I don’t know if I could sit there and listen to day after day of this type of questioning.
What kind of person robs the ice cream man, and then shoots him multiple times. Likely drug motivated. ðŸ˜Å

The police man looked like he was sick or wanted to cry.
When I heard he wore a police costume at Halloween I thought he was in trouble.
But then I saw the costume. Nobody could be fooled into believing this was a real uniform.

I have seen this judge before and love the way he conducts court and I believe I’ve seen this prosecuting attorney before as well and if it is the same person I’ve seen in the past she is also very professional.
Okay, I haven't even got through prosecutors opening and already want to scream if I hear ( early morning hours ) one more time.
Why on earth did it take almost 13 fricking years to send this guy to trial?
