  1. Intent. That is what is needed to be proven for a murder conviction, intent. If it can't be proven, beyond reasonable doubt, that he intended to go to the residence with the purpose of shooting/killing somone, then it's only a manslaughter charge.

Either way, he was found guilty of SOMETHING, but he will live for the rest of his life with regret, unfortunately. Who wouldn't? That's enough in my opinion

  2. I'm sorry but that lady talking about searching sense she came to this country is delusional she was born here you can't hold people accountable for things that happened 100 years ago . It's sucks but they didn't have the evidence to declare murder. So tired of people pulling the ancestor card.

  3. Instead of complaining, do something about it. Get up and vote, stop avoiding jury duty, I feel he should’ve been charged with murder but the same people complaining about the judicial system are the same people who won’t go vote for judges that sit on the bench and they are the main people who avoid being jurors. Stop complaining and do something, make a change!

  4. Actually the charge probably fits the crime! He doesn't get to walk ! He made a mistake he didn't know she belonged there. Not defending him but manslaughter fit ! It was an unjustified unintentional shooting ! At least he was found guilty and will do time!

  5. Manslaughter- I wasn’t in the court 🤔 He get to go home! Say what? Loud and WRONG!

He should’ve been charged with Murder, I’m in Law School? 🤔 Which one?

He was charged with murder & manslaughter and convicted of manslaughter.

    🤦🏽‍♀️

  6. I understand why they went with manslaughter. It would have been difficult to prove intent. The jury took this case seriously and sent a message to Zion with the length of the sentence. 11 years 10 months and 12 days. ( Zion is 11. This tragedy happened on the 10th month 12th day). Zion you ARE not forgotten.

  7. The tragedy beyond taking an innocent life is there was no speedy trial. 4 yrs? He should have 4 extra yrs for every family member who had to endure this incompetence and stalling. They protect their own. People are getting sick of it. That could have happened to my dad last week when they came to the wrong house banging on the down with hand on her gun. The supervisor tried to make excuses. These people need training, at least.

  8. To get murder they have to prove intent. That's why he got manslaughter. If he was charged with murder he would have easily walked because there would have been reasonable doubt. That law student better hit the books a little more.

  9. So when people blow up your world trade buildings and u destroy their country for 20 yrs ..that's fair?? And still lose the country in a week ?? American justice ain't worth the dollars it print.

  10. Malice intent has to be proven with facts in a trial. This didn't happen in this case. I believe, Mr Dean didn't make the best decisions in how he handled himself in this situation. However , i do not believe he set out to intentionally murder Tatiana or perhaps anyone. Manslaughter does fit his actions and he needs to do some time in jail. 😳😳😳😳🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️

  11. There is no emotional outburst when the young man spoke, yet he said the same things.

Sometimes people should listen to how minorities see the facts. Check the facts on minority convictions vs non-minority convictions for the same crimes. It's pathetic.

  12. The day will come when us as citizens will have our way and our day. Citizens will have Justice one day when we go by the bible an eye for an eye. Citizens will get some kind of payback to these tyrant cops…itl be a horrific day when they over power the police and get there Justice. I hope I'm know where near it when it comes.
