  1. That wasn’t just a fluke that the gun jammed, I think his brother wasn’t finished saving him. Also, I know the dad was hurt, shocked, confused etc. and the cries of his and the brothers were heartbreaking…but I felt so bad when he started blaming the poor kid who didn’t know what else to do besides go where he felt safe and knew he had someone to help him. Sadly, he will carry guilt for the rest of his life even though it wasn’t his fault. It’s hard to trust anyone these days. These kids want fast money, to feel like tough guys, hide behind masks and use weapons like wimps. It’s terrifying when kids like that get guns..they will want to use them. Zero empathy for anyone.

  2. At some point, the justice system needs to stop going soft on people who deliberately plan out a murder. Not just the one who pulls the trigger, but every single person involved in the planning. If you make the conscious choice to take a life, you should face a punishment that’s just as irreversible as the act itself. No age, no excuses, no “circumstances”… nothing should water that down. As long as we keep treating these crimes lightly, nothing will change. A truly final sentence would put an end to a whole lot of problems.
