Prosecutors Challenge Alex Murdaugh’s Story with Evidence from Night of Family Murders

Prosecutors challenged Alex Murdaugh’s alibi this week by presenting cell phone data and videos from the day his wife and son were murdered at their South Carolina home. The state claims evidence proves the disgraced lawyer was with family at the time of their deaths, contradicting the accused killer’s recollection of events.

  1. Am I correct in thinking there are two videos placing AM at the scene? One Snapchat video of AM pushing a tree over and one of the son in the Kennels with Maggie and AM in the background.
Has the prosecution proven that these video were definitely taken on the night of the murders? Could they have been taken a few days before but not sent until that night

  2. When Alex was saying “come here Bubba” I can’t help but to think he was probably calling him over so he wouldn’t be in the line of fire for what was about to happen. 😢

  3. Alex said he wasn’t there with wife/son right before their murder., but he was. Defense didn’t even bother challenging Paul’s friends’ testimonies about Alex being there. What else do you need. Case closed. Everything else is noise.

  4. The phone thing is NOT a problem. If he's a former prosecutor wouldn't he know to not have his cell on him during the crime? Thats why he could say with confidence he wasn't at the stable that night because he didn't have his phone with him but his sons video messed up that whole argument. You can only be so careful especially if it's your first time doing something like this.

  5. The only reason why I wouldn't use my phone at 2% is if I'm not near my home.
    Which he was.
And he was in the middle of texting his friend. His friend even texted him again to check because he wasn't answering. I think he would've at least attempt to answer if he'd still been alive.

  6. I think he shot the wife first and I think his son took off to run and he shot him in the back of the head j think he used the shot gun on one and rifle on the other. To make it more confusing and to make it look likthere was two killers . Took a shower .buried. Clothes

  7. One lawyer speculates about could the phone being thrown from the truck and whether you would you throw it with your left hand, its all hypothetical but the prosecution doesn't object to speculation, the defense are objecting to nearly everything, and both lawyers are asking the witness questions he has answered 4 times already, eg about a locked phone and still being able to enable Airplane mode. These Lawyers get that clock to run for as many hours as the meter is running. At this rate the Jury will be here till next spring 2024, I think at the earliest at this snail's pace Christmas realistically. How much do jurors get paid for service in the US, and are they compensated for the loss of salary. ??? when you watch US State lawyers, dithering and forgetting their own facts, and you watch a QC or Barrister in action at the high court, they are not in the same ballpark Ally

  8. It is difficult enough to imagine a man killing his own son (& wife) but listening to parts of this trial it also seems Murdaugh’s murder of his son & wife was also carefully premeditated which means he would have repeatedly ran this murder through his mind in the planning which is also very chilling …. if so this man is a sociopath who made his living in the field of law & worked through all the legal nuances as well – a very cold man for whom there was no bottom low enough that he wouldn’t stoop to get what he wanted.
