Paranoid Cop Mistakes Gas Pump For a Pistol | UPDATE: Off-Duty Officer Responds

UPDATE (the off duty cop responds!) This police officer with the Leon County (Florida) Sheriff’s Office is so paranoid, that he sees a guy (Robert) parked at a gas pump, with a gas pump in his hand, trying to pump some gas, and he immediately thinks it’s something else in his hand. He gets scared. He pulls into the gas station, gets out of his police cruiser and draws down on the guy, shouting at him.

  1. I am NOT sure this other guy is a real law enforcement officer because he seems to have some intelligence, education and honesty. Those three things are NOT USUAL things that law enforcement officers possess. If he really is a law enforcement officer he seems like the type of officer that will NOT LAST in law enforcement because we KNOW for a FACT that law enforcement officers are NOT required to be intelligent, educated, honest, brave, and have integrity. That is not a once in a while observation. That IS a NATIONWIDE FACT. It is too bad that this guy will be lumped in with the vast majority of the other law enforcement officers who have NOTHING positive to add to society other than being turned into worm food after their watch has "ended." ACAB!!!

  2. Interviewee cop: "I didn't observe or see see anything out of the ordinary other than trying to fill up his car."
Huhh? 1. What's the supposed "difference"? Observing something IS seeing it. 2. How is that supposedly "out of the ordinary"? It's not, so this doesn't make sense!

  3. Bullshit, there was no misconstruing that off duty cop’s actions. It was clear cut, and blatant. It’s just time for him to back peddle now because he got put on blast. He’s full of shit.

  4. I saw the first video, and I did think this off duty officer was part of the problem while seeing it out of context. I love that he did what he did, and I honestly don’t think I would have done it any differently if I were him. I would definitely want to document and record the incident. Ty for follow through and helping raise awareness. Anyone seeing that abuse of power and ego trip should have the same instinct to help or document in some way. Leading the unhinged cop to believe he was in the company of someone that didn’t disagree with him was the only way he saw to get the recording. Also, the dialogue here is priceless. This is a police officer we the people are deep in our souls very proud of. This is the mentality police and any law enforcement should have. He should become a training officer so that he can educate and reinforce the oath of protecting the constitution; to serve and protect us literally the core mission. We need more like him.

  5. BIGGEST MISTAKE IS CLAIMING HE PROTECTS THE CONSTITUTION WHILE ASSISTING TO TRY TO VIOLATE THE CUSTOMER'S RIGHTS WITH A SODOMESE FIST BUMP TO HIS BOYFRIEND. HES CLEARLY LOW IQ, THINKING THIS HELPED HIM. IT MADE HIM LOOK 10X WORSE AND HIS ACTIONS WERE JUST AS HEINOUS. IM GLAD THEY FOUND WHO SHE, I MEAN HE IS.

  6. I see that a lot of people don't believe this guy, but my gut says he's telling the truth. Police officers don't give specialized treatment to other police that are out of state, or even out of their county. There is more in field "ego" competition, than I think most people imagine. The gun happy cop said, "Oh you saw what he was doing too", he responded, "I saw him with the gas pump in his hand." He didn't say, "Yeah, I saw him have something in his hand, and I can see how you would've mistaken that for a gun". When I watched the first video, I felt like he was trying to stick up for the guy, in a passive way, to avoid conflict with the officer. At that point, I really don't see how it would've been productive for him to start debating with that officer whether his perception was right or wrong.

  7. He will have to quit or retire he is a traitor to them now they will never trust him again they look at him as a whistleblower he went against the thin blue wall and he will probably get fired

  8. With the way this interviewee talked with the other cop, it surely did sound like he was being supportive! I'm not buying this new bit. He seems as guilty as other people do when they're in an interview room and the interviewing cop says the suspect changed his story!

  9. That off duty officer has issues to. We are not a nation of ideas as he stated. We are a nation of rights and a nation of laws. How you let him say that and not correct him makes me more and more untrusting of the legal system of you don’t know any better when you are a lawyer. Get your views and keep that misinformation going. I try to correct you so many times and you must think I am stupid. Lost lawyers do NOT KNOW the constitution. You do not know the LIMITS of the court system. You think they can make laws, they cannot. You think what they say goes…. No. Only if it’s an innocent or guilty verdict. They cannot tell anyone what to do if it is unconstitutional and they have no rights under the constitution to do so. Please, I wished at least one attorney would get educated on this. Forget what they put in your head in law school and go read and study the constitution and all of the hundreds of federalist papers.

  10. Hmmmm… 🤔 💭 All I have to say….."My Rights DON'T end 🔚 where your fear begins! Freedom ⛓️‍💥 is scary! Deal with it !!!"

  11. What was the motivation behind the intentional interaction …"why did he go into the gas station and fist bump the cop?" when he was afraid to film. Seems a bit thin !?

  12. He said he contacted the office via FB. Come on! Really? He can't pick up the phone, or go fill out a report? Also, he said he doesn't know how to make a complaint, and that needs to be added to their training, with big posters on the walls telling them how to do it. It should be added to their manual, which many copies should be placed in every office, easily accessible to every officer and employee, without permission and without having a supervisor watching

  13. The last time I saw this much back pedalling I was at the circus and it was a clown on the unicycle juggling. The policeman being interviewed gut reaction was to support another policeman. He is now trying to spin it that he was really a on the side of justice because he is getting a backlash from sick citizens. This policeman would have helped the other policeman shoot the guy as it is really in their nature.

  14. Stopped the video. No desire to see another pig lie and gaslight. He fist bumped the psycho. Hes getting heat at home. Thats it. The CRL just gave him a platform to gaslight

  15. This officer is full of sh/t if he had any decency at all he would have put in a report about the stupid officer and supported the civillian which he didnt. It was clear from his action he was going to back up the bull sh/t of the stupid cop. Had this not have gon viaral he would now be assisting stupid cop to prosecute the inocent man. NEVER EVER TRUST A POLICE OFFICER. You know when they are lying because their lips move.

  16. I don’t know if I believe him 100% but he still seems like a stand-up guy to come back and correct the record and say things that aren’t necessarily flattering about the other officer I don’t think this is a bad cop by any means he still probably could’ve done a couple things differently in the moment, though I can kinda understand where he’s coming from

  17. Lets all be honest and not play this silly game that a gas pump nozzle is gun. The cop wanted bully someone and this was his opportunity to victimize an innocent man.

  18. B.S.! If he was so concerned for his family he would have gotten them out of harms way. Instead he inserted himself, fist bumped the officer, offered his service and support to the officer. This is nothing but damage control and character clean up.

  19. The public didn't misconstrued your attempt to provide cover for that officer. You weren't prepare for your involvement to go viral. And, this is the reason you're backtracking.

  20. Great vId John. Its more proof to everyone you are just about the truth. Also good to hear from what sounds like an actual good cop. I've actually never heard a cop speak as he did. At least gives me a little hope that the justice system DOES have some good employees. Thanks for the video.

  21. The off-duty officer is a natural undercover type. He went into that gas station as a plain-clothes civ and immediately got the affirmation of the Cop with a fist-bump and even started asking questions, perhaps with the intent to break apart ill-written incident writeups(?). Shiiiiiiiit. Nicely done.
