In a devastating turn of events, New York police officers were called to the residence of Dr. Krystal Cascetta, a renowned cancer doctor, on Saturday morning. Upon entering the home, they made a heart-wrenching discovery: Dr. Cascetta and her 4-month-old daughter were found dead in a bedroom. The initial investigation suggests that Cascetta tragically took her own life after shooting her infant child, a shocking act of violence that unfolded while her parents were present in the house. The incident has left the medical community and the public at large reeling, as they grapple with the loss of a talented physician and the unimaginable circumstances surrounding her death.

As news of the tragedy spread, rumors began to circulate on social media, speculating about the potential involvement of Dr. Cascetta’s husband in the killing. However, authorities were quick to address these unfounded claims, issuing a forceful statement asserting the husband’s innocence. They emphasized that he was not present at the home during the time of the incident. To delve deeper into this heartbreaking case, the Law&Crime Network’s Angenette Levy sits down with retired NYPD Sgt. Joseph Giacalone to discuss the details surrounding the murder-suicide and the impact it has had on the family, the medical community, and the public.

  1. There's something really wrong with our society. The amour of mental illness in this world is a sign of a unnatural sickness that's spreading world wide. I guess it's the natures way to end itself.

  2. Women need more resources for mental health checkups after giving birth because the focus is always on the baby and not the mother. This could have been prevented.

  3. remember the british guy who laughed in court with the bloated corpses who blamed his wife? then RAN and fled after finding them. GUN residue proved she didn't do it

  4. chris watts blamed Shan and yall are going to sit here and believe in feeling sorry for husband? even MICA miller didn't do it. He had gps to see when she bought the gun met her at the park and used AI voice mimicker to call 911. DUH

  5. Double standards, you can’t praise folks who find hunt folks down on certain situations when you agree with what they are doing it for, but when it’s not you condemn.

  6. Post partum is real and so devastating if not treated.. i had a friend who had this and she said she had horrible thoughts at times and thank goodness she got help.

  7. 1) why take an innocent baby out with you? evil.
    2) why did the parents not come up after the first gun shot?
    3) why would you shoot yourself with your parents in the same home? selfish.

  8. This is so sad. Listen being a new mom is hard but me personally if she had support maybe it’s other things that was getting to her that made her feel this is her only way out.

  9. Turn the gun on yourself but not your child!!! People attacked Lindsay Clancy for what she did but are defending this chick?! Makes no sense! RIP to the precious baby girl only!

  10. She was a doctor, successful but normal life with successful husband too… the only difference is the new baby. Having a baby is hard enough and I know some moms get strange and violent thoughts. This is very unfortunate

  11. A woman in Duxbury Ma the town next to mine suffering from post pardom psychosis strangled her three young children and jumped out the second story window of their home paralyzing herself. She was a beautiful neonatal nurse in Boston and loved children

  12. May baby RIP😭🙏🏼❤️no excuse just pure evil regardless 👿
