I'm so glad bystanders immediately went to check on and provide aid to the officer. It's always a little heartwarming to see communities trying their best to help people instead of making the situation worse.
He was acquitted. Court was not able to proof he really ran over the cop.

Guys he's smiling cause he's nervous and probably happy to see the cops at this stage. He's likely already checked on his wife and glad she's not hurt worse. Also probably happy they are both still alive.
I imagine he didn't necessarily mean to hit the officer either, thinking he could just scoot past/away. I mean clearly he isn't the best rider hahaha – dangerous and dumb but not straight evil. I couldn't even say if he's strung out for sure, could easily just be shock.

The fact that the police officer expected the ambulance to wait to transport until the witness could come identify is crazy what if she wasn't the person and the lady died because she couldn't get to the hospital in time?

They drove the witness onto a highway and had her get out with him standing right there when she could of did that from inside the backseat. Then you show her face on the video and her personal car. No wonder no one will stay and help anymore.
