2. Horrifying case. 🙊🖤 Beta's closing words in her letter broke my heart even more than after learning of this case and documentary. I also spent my childhood behind The Iron Curtain. We, who were lucky to escape the nightmare, will never be able to convey fully what her words truly mean. This juducial system's draconian nightmare, hospital's reprehensible behavior and doctors' malpractice should be shared widely to hopefully spare another family this unbearable pain and not another life lost. Malik and Smith are monsters. My heart goes out to to the family, especially beautiful Maya who lost a mother who loved her to the moon and back. 😢💔🖤🥀

How could anyone not believe this precious girl..her face is saying what she felt and her words are truth…this is despicable to have happened to this family..it could happen to anyone..make the settlement a deterrent from ANY hospital or physicians to ever do this again…written from an MA who has been in the medical field.

6. Just because she was hospital bound and couldn’t go to school doesn’t mean the teaching should be limited or that she shouldn’t even have a laptop. All children get homework how could she do hers if she didn’t get full teaching or means of help. I don’t understand what that paper proves besides she was bed ridden at the moment

14. I was so mad and upset when I watched her documentary. I hope she wins every penny she deserves.

16. Disturbing was the pyschotherapist medical record read by defense showing Maya did not want to take the many drugs and Ketamine but didnt want to make her mom sadder than she was. Also read was that Maya said after her Mexico Treatment of Ketamine her memory wasn't as good as it was could not recall things like before.😮

17. This could’ve been me with my illness and many others, I feel so sorry for this girl. I’m so sorry.

18. The hospital basically kidnapped her and kept her for almost 3 months. She did not have any contact with her mother and limited contact with teachers and priest.

19. Poor girl and the whole family. From the bottom of my heart, I wish them all the best from now on 🧡 They also need to get justice to try and recover from all of this. And such serious matters cannot be ignored without the culprits being held accountable for their actions.

23. CRPS is a common flare symptom of mast cell illnesses. At her age it makes perfect sense it may have been an early mastyo flare presentation. I had the severe stomach pain and issues eating when mine began. Now I have the aggressive anaphylaxis. You are only symptomatic in flare. In youth you get years between flare often. Later as it progresses you are essentially in flare constantly.

24. Such a beautiful young woman she has such a sweet demeanor what a awful shame with what she had too go thru my ❤ breaks for her and her whole entire family may they find peace and comfort and happy days ahead they absolutely deserve it!

26. This case was heartbreaking. Her mother felt she had no choice but to take her own life, for her daughter to be able to come home. I pray this family gets justice
