Marijuana: Should we BLAZE it or BANISH it?

Marijuana is a hot button issue that many people have asked my opinion on in both real life and on my social media accounts so I finally decided to address it. Hopefully I did so with some level of sensibility.

I don’t take a hard stance one way or the other and find intelligent arguments on both sides. In this video I hit on what I think are good reasons and BAD reasons for legalization and just open up the conversation.

PLEASE NOTE: I am IN NO WAY promoting marijuana, encouraging its use by anyone, particularly under aged individuals. The views in this are MY OWN and in no way to be taken in any way, shape, or form as to be an endorsement for legalization or attempts to frustrate law enforcement. As I state in the video, my opinion doesn’t necessarily mean anything and I am not giving any type of final determination about it here.

This is about being willing to be honest and open on a controversial topic. Anyway…see ya in the comments, share it if you find it valuable or interesting.

  1. There are MANY people who have started using Marijuana after the cdc made it impossible to get pain medication. Millions of honest to God chronic pain patients lost their doctors. Doctors are so afraid of being arrested, they stopped prescribing. I've studied this in depth. Marijuana can be taken and is taken by some in pill form. A lot don't get high. There is so much stigma around all controlled substances that needs to debunked. I could teach you so much..

  2. I'm a marijuana user as well as a legal grower for several medical patients and I'd have to agree there are valid points for legalizing or prohibiting marijuana. Kind of in the road as well. Thinking less violent crime yeah you made a good point mike you dont see people fighting or shooting eachother cuz they got high.

  3. Let's be honest weed never had been illegal in the first place I'd rather people be out smoking weed for the pain then taking pain pills with no more worse than alcohol some people don't have the brain to comprehend that

  4. One correction, well not so much correction, but something to point out. The idea that smoking marijuana (In this case I am talking about, THCa, as well as CBD, but not THC) does not help with pain, or that is not as effective as CBD oil. When consuming cannabis oils, they are processed through your liver, meaning you lose a lot of the CBD, furthermore CBD in high amounts (if processed through the liver) can cause liver damage. Where as smoking a CBD strain (no THC) goes straight into your blood stream. This has two effects, 1. It does not strain your liver. 2. Because it isn't going through your liver, you are receiving and a higher and quicker acting dose of CBD. THCa (not THC) has been shown to provide pain relief. While I know this is an older video and the following was not around, there are new types of CBD tinctures which go straight to your blood via your pours, which can be applied topically or under the tongue / side of the cheek like pre-existing options, the benefit of this is it does not strain your liver. Not trying to sway any opinions, don't gotta like weed, don't gotta hate weed, just thought I'd spread some info.

  5. It was the lumber industry that got it criminalized, easy to research if you honestly try, as it was cheaper to make paper from hemp than wood. They went to Congress with $$$ and Congress sold out America

  6. After a surgery went horribly wrong leaving me unable to walk I take a bit of mmj brownie for it helps keep it from waking me. Thanks to the illegal dopers that helped stop pain meds actually needed and prescription

  7. NO. YOU ARE WRONG.
CANNABIS WAS PUT ON THE SCHEDULE DUE TO RACISM. RICHARD NIXON HAD IT DONE BECAUSE HE HATED BLACKS AND HIPPIES.
I WITNESSED IT WHILE IT WAS HAPPENING. I WAS A KID, AND I WAS PAYING ATTENTION TO THE NEWS AT THAT TIME. THAT WAS A TIME WHEN NEWS AGENCIES ACTUALLY REPORTED THE TRUTH.
YES, IT HAS BEEN THAT LONG. BUT THIS IS FACT.

  8. All your arguments for keeping it illegal are just that some of the arguments for legalizing are poor. That puts the burden of proof on the wrong side. Everything should be legal unless there's a really really good reason for it not to be. Innocent until proven guilty, etc.

  9. First off you start by comparing marijuana to poison which is completely irrelevant and shows you don't understand comparisons. And you said it has nothing to do with back pain which shows you literally no nothing about the plant. You're a moron and you're speaking on a topic you know nothing about and your opinion means nothing. how about as a former cop you do some good and stop all your racist piece of shit friends. Here's a good comparison for you, taking your advice about marijuana or the medical aspects behind it is like asking a lifetime criminal for law enforcement advice. You're biased and that's fine you just won't admit that and that's why this video is irrelevant. It should be taken down since you're spreading false information and you could be getting people in trouble based off of your uninformed opinion

  10. Name one Mexican cartel that makes profit off the sale of alcohol. Making anything illegal when the demand is there will fuel the black market and do more harm then good. Name one drug dealer who ask for a ID before making a sale? It’s easier for a teenager to buy illegal drugs then legal….Illegal drugs aren’t regulated so it could get cut or mixed with anything. Good moral people need to control that market NOT the criminals.
