1. Really poor skills from the officers. Terrible communications from the one officer in particular. Telling someone like this they’re “acting like a child” is obviously not helpful. Poor use of force too. Taser thrown on the floor. Could have given CS/pepper spray ago early on. The first officer made life a lot harder for the second as well.

2. This video is so doctored. The man made the threat, they overreacted rather than under react. Both sides appear to be wrong but then again would there have been a right way?

3. Domestics are insanely dangerous for officers and I am not sure what I would do.
   I have only dealt with that aggression in a hospital setting and we use very different interventions of course…

19. I dont think to plausible to shoot even after being threatened. We didnt see the auspect with a qeapon so it was a closed faced threat. They could have double tased or something

25. In the emergency kit in my car, in addition to a tow strap and shovel and flares, I also keep a little stuffed teddy bear to hand to a child if there is ever a tragic accident. Words sometimes fail. It seems like there is occasionally a complete failure to at least try to RELATE to the little bit of remaining rational behavior that might exist in the mind of someone who is in deep distress. Some of these "worst cases" that invariably tend to appear to always end up being tragic endings seem to me like they might respond well to a COLD BEER or a CIGARETTE or a small BOTTLE OF BOURBON if offered casually and earnestly way before escalation occurs, and it wouldn't cost anything to try it. 35. Poor guy! By all the clutter in his home, one would conclude that he has had severe problems for quite some time. I can't blame the cops; they did their job. Whoever might have known about the mental state of this man and yet hasn't done anything – that's the person who has the biggest fault in the entire tragedy.
