Ex-NFL player Henry Ruggs spoke in court before a judge sentenced him for a deadly DUI crash in Las Vegas that he caused back in November 2021. As a result of the crash, 23-year-old Tina Tintor and her dog, Max, were killed. “I sincerely apologize for the pain and suffering my actions have caused you all,” Ruggs said. “I have no excuse and pray that taking responsibility of my guilty plea will allow the healing process to begin.”

45 thoughts on “‘I Sincerely Apologize’: Ex-NFL Player Henry Ruggs Speaks Before Deadly DUI Crash Sentencing

  1. I wonder how many millions he paid the family to read that little speech his lawyer wrote out for them. The dad did it with a smile too, sick!

  2. What a joke! And I see it’s being steeped under the rug. This guy got off because he’s rich $$$. What an injustice!

  3. The way that judge was looking at him she looked like she was ready to jump over the bench and start nailing him. I heard they are writing letters to each other and dating.

  4. Trust me he's more sad about his NFL career than the person he killed. Even if he wasn't drinking going 150 mph and killing someone should put him away for life. He didn't value life before and he doesn't now.

  5. I don’t know why in 2024 with Uber and Lyft being available…

That people just don’t take rideshare.

  6. 3 years for burning someone to death. If I were her family I’d be waiting patiently for those three years and then we’d have a little get together.

  7. It's important to note the police screwed up the investigation and there was some chance that his toxicology test (which found he was twice the legal limit) could have been thrown out. So the prosecutor accepted a plea to avoid a trial and risk the toxicology test getting thrown out. That's why hiss sentence is 3-10 and not 10+ years.

  8. You guys claim to care about this precious loss of life but keep mentioning her dog. A young woman lost her life .. also hard to feel a apology when it was written down . Who is your lawyer to not tell you to speak from the heart not a pre written statement. Smh

  9. I am absolutely disgusted by Ruggs’ lawyer. He said that his client pleaded guilty to help the family move on during Ruggs’ guilty plea. And now he is backpedaling. If I killed an innocent person and a dog, I would be so overcome with guilt that I would plead guilty because I am guilty. I would not even take a plea deal, knowing I deserve much more time. No one ever gets a lot of time in these cases. And that is a travesty.

  10. He should’ve gotten alot longer in prison. If he wasn’t rich and famous I think he would’ve gotten alot longer.
