Republican State Representative Dean Davis was arrested for public intoxication. The legislator was heard asking the arresting officer, “Are you really doing this?” The officer responded, “No sir, you’re doing this.” He is currently serving in Oklahoma’s current legislative session. “Well, I got a new law to make,” Davis said after questioning the arresting officer from the back seat of a squad car.

  1. Ask Texas to change Public Intoxication arrests. Should be a minimum BAC. It should be like a speeding ticket in a school zone and citizens get a ride home or order. There should be measurable data for evidence. Citizens should be able to have it dismissed without no contest/guilty deferred adjudication, and no arrest on background.

  2. 2:45 Here you get the real reason this guy got arrested. At the end of the day he wouldnt have got arrested for public intox had he not challenged the officers' authority. The cops dont like that. It does seem like he and his friends were given plenty opportunity to leave though. I hate when people try to use their positions of power as a "Get out of jail free" card.

  3. He will get away with it law enforcement never has to pay the same price as someone like me a normal not law or rich person

  4. You're a representative of the people, meaning you represent the people that voted for you. You lead by example. You want your constituents to obey the laws and be held accountable when they break them, set the example take responsibility and own up to your consequences when you break the laws. You are not above the people you were elected to represent.

  5. I especially like when he said the cop grabbed his arm in 30 seconds, then it was 44 seconds, then finally 2 minutes. 😂 He was so certain yet kept increasing the time… This guy is quite the winner… Nice job, Oklahoma!!

  6. I guess by this state representative's argument, he, and other representatives, are above the law. This is why people believe there are 2 levels to the legal system.

  7. People need to come to their senses and deal with the consequences of THEIR ACTIONS. Stop blaming everybody else and just OWN UP already.

  8. lmao should be stripped of his position just for attempting such a ridiculous and corrupt method of avoiding responsibility for his actions.
