I’m glad she wasn’t able to gain access to that apartment! She would’ve came face to face with her deceased mother!! So it’s a good thing they went through those channels, at least she was protected on some level. Seriously though, very saddened to hear this happened to her mother.

After watching a lot of videos involving domestic violence, it's almost no surprise to find people dead and it's sad that it has become so common. Hugs to that child who had to recount what she knows whilst processing the information that her mother is gone. To the women and men out there – the moment your partner lays a hand on you physically or the moment they verbally abuse you – please leave. Do not attempt to save the relationship at the first hint that your partner may be abusive.
I am very upset with how the officers handled that at the start. Telling them they cannot do anything when requesting a welfare check with two days of no contact.
If it was my mom, I would have broken the damn door in. Then called the police.
