  1. someone sneaking on ones property a 4:30am is liable to get at gun to their face. cop or not( better announce your presence) or you deserve to get what you get.

  2. So I guess Atatiana is DEAD BCUZ SHE DIDN'T UTILIZE HER PSYCHIC POWERS. HE DOESNT HAVE TO ANNOUNCE HIMSELF AS A POLICE OFFICER. BCUZ A WOMAN AT HOME ALONE WITH A CHILD. IS PSYCHIC.. SHE SHOULD HAVE known it's NOT prowler stalking whispering in her dark BACKYARD. BUT ITS A POLICE OFFICER COMING TO SAVE HER FROM A PROWLER STALKING N PEEPING THRU WINDOWS IN HER DARK BACK YARD.

  3. It a despicable act of disrespect to claim Atatiana somehow forfeited her life by trying to defend her family from unannounced murderer at her window!

  4. He could have, and should have, known that prowling in someone's backyard, unannounced, could/would trigger someone inside to defend themselves. That is the logical outcome of his actions and, as I said, he should have known that and taken steps to insure that didn't happen. His biggest mistake was not calling for back-up at the onset and his EGO was the likely culprit in that choice.

  5. Does any of this mean even if he said “ put your hands up” without mentioning “POLICE! Put your hands up! It’s okay in murdering her. Not to mention not even giving her TIME to put her hands up SMGDH!

  6. law abiding citizens don't intentionally point guns at police officers, unless you blind them with a 3300 lumen flashlight and don't identify yourself and last but not least a (PERSON) barked orders at a homeowner and shot them 6 tenths of a second later. to sum it all up the officer created a deadly force encounter that was in a prowler format

  7. Atatiana was full in her right to not only point a gun at the person in her back yard, but shoot that person.

She had no way to know he was a police officer. All she saw, if you know about gun mounted streamlights, is an extremely bright light. And he never announced himself.

  8. This lawyer should be disbarred , he is a disgrace to the profession , and to all person in the world, he should be removed from the court, the defender could do a better job than this clown

  9. Not sure I realized how bad the defense case truly was til they closed with blaming the woman that was shot to death in her bedroom through a window.

  10. If he would have seen a gun he would have said drop the gun like 98% of Police officers say when they see a GUN!!! If he Saw a gun he would have not had a reason to ask her to show him her hands because her hands would have been clearly seen because they would have been clearly visible and there would have been damage from flying glass. Hopefully they haven't rigged the jury with a hold out.

  11. This is a horrible accident but it’s not criminal. It’s not like he just showed up there and intended to kill her. He responded to a call in the midst of his employment because a neighbor called it in. If anything, I blame the way calls are relayed from 911 to the officers, the coding of the call “open structure”, the training of officers and the 2 rookies lack of experience and time on the job. She definitely did not deserve to be killed. She didn’t. But she was and if Dean is responsible, then so is everything else that led up to him initially being dispatched to her house. This is definitely a civil case though.

  12. His defense attorney is just as delusional as him!!! You can't cause the crisis situation and claim self defense. He made too many mistakes especially not announcing himself and most of all shining a light into the person's face therefore blinding her so she can't see who's pointing a gun at her.
