A woman claims New York State Police were responsible for her miscarriage that came shortly after a traffic stop on March 20. Authorities said bodycam footage showing her arrest refutes this claim, stating officers handled the pregnant woman with care. Quashaia Oranchak suffered a miscarriage in jail after she was locked up for allegedly fleeing police and possessing controlled substances. The Law&Crime Network’s Sierra Gillespie has the details.

  1. It should be a serious offence to make false statements against LEO’s. Body worn cameras are going to eliminate so many bogus law suits.
Bad actors have met their match. 🦾

  2. Had it not been for her drug use that baby probabl would have survived, and that's a tragedy. How dare she used her poor child's life to get money.

  3. She probably ate the drugs she had on her, which is why she was unconscious. Really so sad a baby died, most likely from it's mothers drug use. What the officer asked her showed he was being above board about her well-being. In this case, police are certainly exonerated from any responsibility for what happened.

  4. Also pregnancy does not give you immunity. When you break the law, expect to be arrested. No "caused" you to get arrested except for you.

  5. So many people get thrown down but they were so gentle with her. She caused her miscarriage by using drugs. 🙄 Rediculous. I hope they showed this in court

  6. You cant say she "wouldnt" have miscarried unless she was left in cell after asking to go to the hospital The stress may have played a roll but that isnt the officers fault I hope she is ok she was wrong in what she did but she lost her baby and i dont wish that on a mother She had only traces of the drug in her system probably from handling it with bare hands and from breathing in the air that carried particles
It coukd be argued that it played a role in the miscarriage
Also how long the baby had been dead Somtimes it takes several hours after yhe babys heart stops before miscarriage

  7. My sister has been doing drugs since she was 14 years old, she has two kids when she turned 24, her kids are living with me, my mom, and my dad cause of her doing drugs.

    She's 29 now.

She passed away on January 28th, 2024 cause of her doing drugs. 😭💔

  8. Why would they say the found drugs but in her system like if it’s a crime to have drugs in your system wtf 😂😂😂

  9. BS, if it wasnt for her doing illegal substances she wouldnt have miscarried. How does that monsters lawyer live with himself/herself knowing full well she did that to her baby NOT the LEO! There has to be even a line lawyers wont cross to try and make a dollar, disgusting
