Houston, Texas — The Harris County Sheriff’s Office released body camera footage in connection to the fatal shooting of 45-year-old Marcelo Garcia in east Harris County. Authorities said Garcia died after he was shot by a deputy who responded to a call from a family member about the man experiencing a mental health crisis. The shooting occurred in the 5900 block of Sunflower Prairie Court just after midnight on April 14, 2021. A mental health unit was requested to go to the scene, but one was not available. When the deputy knocked on the door, Garcia opened the door and approached the deputy with a knife. The deputy attempted to retreat and deployed his Taser in an attempt to subdue Garcia, but the Taser was not effective and Garcia continued to pursue the deputy. The deputy then shot Garcia with his gun. The deputy called for EMS and backup deputies, who arrived shortly thereafter and rendered first aid to Garcia who died on the scene. The deputy has been placed on temporary administrative leave.

  1. This just hurts my heart because I know that those kids have a good chance of growing up hating cops, which is not helped by the fact that their mother might lie to them about what happened.

  2. Did anyone notice the officers doing the dispatchers job? This Officer called shots fired 3 TIMES before it was acknowledged. The dispatcher failed to check the status of the officer, call a 10-33, and hold the air for emergency traffic. That was all done by fellow officers. Fire her!

  3. 0:44….seg …Orale puto , Orale puto tirale ……tirale …..the most stupid words ever in front of his own family ……one minute later Marcelo was dying …..ahhhh,,,,,,ahhhh,,,,,ahhh…..!!!!!!

  4. I would argue that the officer had too much patience. what if he had tripped while trying to run back? Then the officer would be stabbed, maybe die and the family could possibly all die too. Taser probably shouldn’t have been pulled out once he saw how aggressive he was and the fact that he had a knife.

  5. なんでこいつらって撃たれんの理解しながら突っ込んでくんのw
    バカなのかなw
    素直に地面に伏せときゃ丸く収まんのにw

  6. in Germany that dont works so ……
why is the other cops so slow ??? at the point
Why no emergency ??? 4 cops or more no emergency and why they dont help ???
they have only knife ??? Best i think was cop first cop he speaks latin !!!

  7. Why he have to do that to his kids bruh. Nvr even though it’s ftp forever. U just don’t attack the police either, it’s a job..

  8. These kids will need serious help, and I hope that one day they will understand and accept the incredibly complex nature of this situation and know that although sad but unavoidable…

  9. Only because the guy was big he didn’t get stabbed if the guy charging was skinner and more athletic he would of stabbed the cop for sure. This is why the gun comes out before the tazer in deadly weapon situation. They should show the morons who blame the cop for shooting the girl with a knife this video that the taser doesn’t always work and it can cost someone their life.

  10. MAMMA MIA MARCELLO, this Is the pistol, Alberto come look at Marcello,😂😂😂

  11. This shooting was not wrongful in any way, officer came up to the residence, he charged at him with a knife, he gave him multiple chances to drop it, he didn’t, taser failed, meanwhile he’s still coming at him with a knife so he used his service pistol. Still a sad sight
