Alex Murdaugh Judge Refuses to Throw Out Murder Charges Against Disgraced Lawyer

Judge Clifton Newman refused to grant the defense’s motion for a directed verdict to dismiss the murder charges against Alex Murdaugh. His lawyers filed the motion on Friday after prosecutors finished presenting their case against the disgraced South Carolina attorney. Judge Newman said that the evidence presented by the state, both direct and circumstantial, was enough for a jury to a verdict of their own.

  1. One key thing was Alex not knowing Paul’s phone password because he would’ve deleted anything that would implicate him I.e. the video that got him in the end.

  2. Hog wash , so what the guy had FinancialStress , last time i checked we all have , but we don’t go Stealing and Shooting our family to death because of it in a effort to stop people from prosecuting us for our finacialCrimes

  3. Why would killing his wife and son cure his financial misdeeds? What kind of argument was that to tie that to a murder trial? And even accepted by the court?! It’s astonishing.

  4. The best judge I have seen on a case in a long long time. He is not the one they want to play with. He is on it, and not missing anything. He hear more than the lawyers do when witnesses are on the stand.

  5. This man is clearly guilty. Just the fact that he lied about being at the scene of the crime until he got caught that he was there is all we need to know he is guilty. There is no other reason he would lie about that if he was innocent

  6. He could very well have been at the kennels but left. The murderer could have been there too, watching and appeared after the suspect left or while he was sleeping. Speculation, the murder could have been there to confront Maggie about what her husband owed. If Maggie refused to pay then, they may have killed her for her nusband's debt. How much life insurance was on each family member. Had to be alot more than the maid. Who would have known about the insurance besides the immediate family? Pure theory.

  7. Judge: "ready to roll with the defense?"
Attorney: "rock and roll, your honor".
    (Courthouse full of Clowns)⚖💲💰 🤡
