This semi was equipped with side-underride guards which SAVED THE LIFE of the trooper. @5:50
Semi-Truck Crash Test: https://youtu.be/mrL7AUMT4To?si=4ITUoa85eAHHkltl&t=26 (before/after footage with underride protection)
Edit: Trooper luckily hit the (more sturdy) trailer leg/landing gear.
If you haven't heard of Trooper Byrd look him up; he's infamous. Running from him never ends in your favor.
So when did the cops just become blatant murderers?
Seems its been for years at this point.
Anyone who has seen their fair share of police pursuits is well aware of Trooper Byrd. He's very skilled and ruthless.
💡Don’t run from the law, it’s really as simple as that.
Thank you Trooper Byrd.
We would be better off without the police we currently have.
Continue to use the TVI to protect us from those who put me at risk each time they run. Maybe more will learn it is not worth it to try and run.
The cop ended it before the guy killed someone🤷♂️ also how bout that drift tho🫡👌
"Marios gonna commit something very illegal."
Good F'em
Is it bad that I am ok that he's not here to continue hitting people over the head and stealing their money? If this hadn't happened, a DA would have dismissed all but one charge, he'd be put on probation then move on to his next victim.
how the f she only get 4.5 years? SMH
Getting a spike strip was probably the better option, then TVI and wont kill anyone. Tragic, but looks like he caused it. ( suspect)
Im confused, the other cop says he was in the car but then the narrator states he was ejected?
sometimes you get exactly what you deserve, its called karma
I agree with the last conclusion
One less tax burden and menace to society
womp womp
He had plenty of time to stop or turn himself in. The crash was caused by Mario running. Call it what it is.
5:57 no one escapes the Byrd!
Incredible how little traffic there is on all these roads, even the interstate. You couldn’t get up to 50 on most British roads , you would just be stopped by multiple vans, cars, lorryies etc.
The suspect did slam the brakes. Fair enough. But why did the trooper pull up beside the suspect vehicle at those speeds, to talk sweet to him? Clearly the trooper had had enough and would have pulled a pit maneuver whether the suspect slammed the brakes or not. The cop just got let off on a technicality. Moral of the story, don't do crimes in Arkansas and try to flee.
why does memphis look post apocalyptic
As far as I see it, if someone is driving at 140mph running from the police they have no regard for any lives they endanger and shouldn't receive regard in return in the moment. People should not have the right to potentially commit vehicular homicide
That man deserved what came to him
The folks chastising the police for the PIT maneuvering will be the same folks complaining if the police let him go and he ended up killing innocent people. Smdh
I am a firm believer that law enforcement should be able to use the same methods on these runners that the feds used on Bonnie and Clyde. A BAR is a fine way of stopping these fools.
I would rather a dead criminal as opposed to a dead civilian or cop. This criminal’s own actions were his cause of death.
4:35 deja vuu
a criminal dead is better than a criminal in jail about to get out in 30 years.
Surely doing one of those "pit" things at 140mph will put law abiding road users at risk who are on the same road?
Honestly I don't understand people complaining about suspects who died running from the police like f around and find out
I think that Trooper did an amazing job and I'm glad no real people got hurt
So the troopers survived, the Little Debbie driver (and his snacks) survived, and no citizens were hurt or killed. I'm going to call this a win. ✌️
I know I’m late but on the clip at the end you can tell after the trooper got off the car it cut hard right into the rail instead of going into it at an angle, so that makes it look like he was trying to spin out the trooper
The suspect wouldn't be speeding if you weren't chasing him.STUPID.
Allowing pit maneuvers at that speed disregards public safety. Police always blame their murder victim.police policing the police is so fucking corrupt.
