  1. To the female yelling lets go lets go YOU DO NOT NEED add any more stress or chaos than there already is on the scene. Slow is smooth and smooth is fast. I did 30 years as a first responders fire/ems

  2. I do feel for this guy. I think he genuinely did just want to get out of the situation and completely lost it in the moment. I don't think he intended to kill or even injure the officer. But he did what he did and should pay for it.

  3. HORRIBLE COP…..
the guy must have been allowed to leave which is why those body cams supposedly "stopped working".
he reversed his suv close to the cop so he could leave, he never hit him. The cop never told him to stop or get out which points toward him being allowed to leave.
his partner got mad and jumped in front of the vehicle as they were driving off then shot him for no reason. The cop inserted himself into harms way intentionally.
and bro gets 20 years… RIDICULOUS

  4. I believe the guy when he wanted to leave. He thought the officer would move out of the way as he speeds off angrily from the scene, but his recklessness led him to prison.

  5. Shouldn't put gauze in a chest wound. Only a chest seal. Packing gauze and applying pressure in and on a chest wound could get oxygen into the lung and collapse it. They should know this basic first aid.

  6. I feel kinda bad for him, he seems mentally challenged and/or severely traumatized. Sounds literally like a 5 year old when he's talking. I don't know if it's the marines that fucked him up, or prison, or childhood, or all of it.

  7. It seems that quite a lot of people in the comments section don't seem to comprehend that law enforcement officers are human beings. They are aware that standing in front of a moving vehicle can be dangerous. They are also aware that people who aren't homicidal tend to hit the brakes instead of the accelerator when someone is in front of their car.

Hot take, I know, but people who aren't suicidal don't tend to try to get run over. People who get run over, but aren't suicidal, simply tend to think that they're not going to get run over until it's too late.

The claim that cops get in front of cars and hope that they'll get run over so that they will have an excuse to shoot someone they've never met…is unfathomably stupid when you think about it from a cop's perspective for more than a millisecond.

  8. Something is fishy with this one. The critical body footage that would have given context to why the officer thought it was in ANYONE's best interest to put his body in front of someone's vehicle who was already worked up and likely had PTSD, was just magically lost?! It seemed as though he had permission to leave the scene judging by the fact that they allowed him to get into his vehicle and the other officers were just like "watch where you are going" and not "exit the vehicle, show me your hands!" at that point. So it begs the question why the hell did that officer see it fit to stand in front of his vehicle and pull his weapon? The guy shouldn't have driven through him like that obviously but I doubt he was in a position to make the best decision because of PTSD and whatnot. It just seems EVERYONE would have been better off if that ignorant officer didn't escalate the situation like that… like right?

  9. Run over? More like gently pushed with the front right side of vehicle.. suspect went so much to the left side to avoid it that he hit the fence.

The cop wanted to be hit so he can have excuse to shoot, there was no danger in that situation, the guy just wanted to leave and cop threw himself to his way when he was accelerating.

The bullet to his lung is a punishment enough and can cause trouble for the rest of his life.. but 20 years in prison, like he's some sort of murderer? What's wrong with you people.

Conviniently enough the half of the recording is missing.. like how did he got into his car without cops stopping him? It's their fault in the first place.. there could be even misunderstanding that one cop could said to him that he could go and other cop didn't knew about it. Sick world.. and 99% people in the comments are making a fun of him, all he did is one threat to some annoying neighbor to leave him alone and he might forgot about it 5 minutes later, that's not a reason to throw yourself in front of his car when he's accelerating and start shooting at him, he even gave you all of his weapons.

There was no intent to harm the officer.. I saw a video from Midwest where someone run away from the cops and then hit a cop standing next to his motocycle.. the cop flew away to the river and was in critical condition.. had 20 surgeries and there was clearly an intent.. and he got similar sentence.

That officer just ruined the rest of that man life, plain and simple.. I'm not saying the suspect was an angel, but from his side he did everything, gave them ID, his weapons.. so if they didn't arrest him he just wanted to leave. Even seemed he was trying hard to be a good citizen, he might have PTSD from jail and was escaping the situation, didn't seem like danger to society.

  10. Dude was turning left so much that he almost hit the pool gate. Former military police here (31B).

He was NOT trying to run him over.

I wanna see that missing footage. Was he told he can leave? The cop he almost backed into’s reaction made it seem that way.

This was not justified and any keyboard warrior who says different has had a way too entitled life
