Prosecutor Creighton Waters grilled Alex Murdaugh under cross-examination for almost two hours before court ended Thursday. Waters questioned the disgraced lawyer about his family’s powerful roots in Hampton County and law enforcement. Murdaugh, who admitted to his financial misdeeds, became irritated with Waters when he started listing all the thefts committed by the disbarred South Carolina attorney against people he trusted.

This judge is so immensely qualified for this job! It is a shame he's retiring… I he will be teaching as he has so much to offer upcoming and practicing attorneys. I am so impressed by his intelligence, emotional control, knowledge, compassion, etc etc. Thank you, Judge, for the hope and trust you give back to civilians hopeful, with faith, in the legal system.
