Alex Murdaugh took the stand Thursday and testified under direct examination in his own defense at his family murders trial. Murdaugh’s attorney, Jim Griffin, walked the disgraced lawyer through questioning that allowed him to tell the jury his side of the story. Murdaugh denied killing his son, Paul, and wife, Maggie, but admitted to numerous financial crimes and planning the roadside shooting murder-suicide incident.
