Prosecutors called the murder case’s forensic pathologist to the stand to refute testimony given by an expert witness from Alex Murdaugh’s defense team. The defense’s expert claimed the gun that killed Paul Murdaugh made contact with his head when the gun fired. Dr. Ellen Riemer testified her findings denote the shotgun did not come in contact with Paul before explaining how much worse the damage would’ve been if it did.

Alex Murdaugh is crying because he realizes the finality of what he has done. He no doubt loved Paul, but loved himself more, as the prosecution stated.

Why is the defense attorney allowed to stand while the prosecutor is questioning a witness?

Am’s defense is quickly crumbling. So many obvious details are misconstrued. An honest defense would be truthful and wouldn’t miss such obvious details if the defendant were actually innocent. He’s done after this verdict though I doubt the murders will be pinned on him.
Having seen a few "experts" as well as laymen comment negatively on the testimony of this lady, can only conclude that, her AUTHENTICITY is not understood by those who live by Dunning-Kreuger type mentalities. She is so clear, even though the defense really tried everything to destabilise her by creating more tension than necessary in the climate of the testimony.
