Cop Yanks Autistic Kid Out of His Home, Onto the Ground

In Milton, Florida, Deputy Zachary MacPherson observed 20 year old Aleczander “Zander” Cash, who is autistic, walking across his residential street and into his home. Becoming angry that he couldn’t hear him (due to his wearing headphones), MacPherson banged on the front door, and when Cash answered, yanked Cash out of the front door of his home and onto the ground, handcuffing and arresting him. Not only was no crime committed by Cash, but Deputy MacPherson admittedly did not have a warrant.

    Disgraceful conduct by that cop. Rural quiet neighborhood, and he thinks walking across the street is a crime that justifies physical abuse and handcuffs. Nevermind snatching him from his home, as if there was justification for that. He's got to go. He's unfit to be a cop. I wouldn't want that guy on my local PD.

    One thing not being mentioned here is that austic individual's often wear headphones to help drown out the outside world. But people somewhat know this. But what they dont know is many have very unstable and loose joints. So thar ground throw in anger and arms behind the back will hurt an autistic person more than the average person. Possibly even causing tears, which often don't heal correctly or take a long time.

    Such a minor traffic violation would have no chance to rise to the level of a warrant ever being issued and he would know that. He used the threat to get the kid to give up his rights. That is deprivation of rights under color of law.

    There are times after times that I detest police today! All across our country! I grew up in the era when police were who we trusted! I was born in the late 40s. In my youth we knew that if we were in trouble, scared, alone, needed help we could trust police! They would protect us! The two cops who regularly drove around our neighborhood were known to us! I knew them as officer Ken & officer Bob! If I needed help they would come. They knew all us kids! Nowdays kids are afraid of cops! They run from them! You can listen to this video & hear the cop being mean & nasty to the young boy in this! It's a young man with autism! Those people do not easily understand what others are saying to them! And sorry but walking along a city street beside the curb is not a crime! The cop had no damn warrant! He lied to the boy. I know of no state or city that has laws saying it is illegal to walk on the side of a city street or road. So the young man had done nothing illegal!

    WHY was he bothering a guy who's checking his mail??? It's not like there was traffic, he got alot of mileage out of feeling disrespected. This cop is a danger to the public, he's a menace with his lack of control. He needs charges.

    This is why my mom told me as a teen if this shit ever happened to ask through the window if they have a warrant and if they say no to tell them "then my parents say to get off our property till you do" and never ever open the door.

    I'm pretty sure there is a fairly recent case in Florida where some officers grabbed a woman without a warrant and the man who owned the house threw some lead at a high rate of speed and the courts said that gentleman wasn't in the wrong

    A pedestrian violation? Is it illegal to cross the road in the U.S.?
    Here in the U.K. vehicles have to stop if someone steps onto the road or is waiting to cross the road at a road junction. Pedestrians are the most vulnerable road user and so always get priority over any other user.

    So…the basis of detaining him was refusal to obey “lawful” orders. After discovering that he was wearing headphones, does that not negate the reason for the detainment? He was talking about him “ignoring” his orders while he was holding the kid’s headphones in his hand!!! Effin’ Genius Cop right there. There are some people that just should not be LEO’s. This is one of those. Officers like this should be barred from law enforcement for life. There are ways to do things. This is not how things should be done. He violated the kid’s constitutional rights. My grandfather was the Chief of Police in my hometown. I used to read the Police instruction manuals from classes and seminars his officers would attend as a child including things like “How to Handle Individuals Exhibiting Odd Behavior.” (That’s not the exact title…but that’s the basic idea.) It is sad that so many citizens that are not directly involved in law enforcement have a clearer understanding of constitutional rights than some LEO’s. All that aside…he was on the Autism spectrum. My oldest son is as well. Having to live through a traumatic experience like that could mean years of recovery, deprogramming and therapy in order to not cause an emotional meltdown with the mere sight of an LEO. I would be filing a lawsuit. I hope he and/or his parent(s) do.

    That kid didn’t act suspiciously. He turned around and walked back because the officer was headed STRAIGHT AT HIM and the kid didn’t want to get hit. I swear these 🐖🐖🐖 will say anything to justify exercising their authority.
