YNW Melly’s lawyer, Stewart Adelstein, challenged prosecution’s firearms expert on the validity of his lengthy testimony Wednesday. Adelstein poked fun at Jorge Bello and told him he should “hand out certificates†to everyone in court after his extensive lesson on the stand. Bello was not able to identify whether Melly, born Jamell Demons, owned, held, and fired a gun used in the deadly shooting that killed Christopher Thomas Jr., aka YNW Juvy, and Anthony Williams, aka YNW Sakchaser.
