New Hampshire man Brandon Castiglione insisted on representing himself at sentencing for the murder of Luis Garcia, the 60-year-old pastor he killed in 2019. Castiglione apologized to Garcia’s family before asking the judge to hand down a prison sentence he thought was “fair and right.” Judge David Ruoff sentenced the convicted killer to 42 years in prison, specifically so that when Castiglione is released from prison, he will be the same age Garcia would have turned this week. 1. Typical American judge logic. I'm not saying 42 years is too long, but with the reasoning he disclosed for choosing that number, he might as well have chosen it using astrology.

  2. What's fair about taking lives and not giving these people there chance of a full life.or the lives of the families that get a life sentence.

  3. Wow no remorse no accountability and brings God into his heinous act whaaaat? Throw the book at this POS it would be completely fair to let him contemplate about what he did for the rest of his life. 😡

  4. Not one word of accountability – not one word of remorse. His minimizing the murder by calling it a "loss" is insulting.
He should be expecting a visit from the squad.

  5. That’s what a free attorney gets you, letting you read your death sentence to the judge.😂

  6. Why do people call it "gun violence" when gun is involved but when someone kills someone in a car wreck its not called "car violence"?

  7. The judge was fair. Too many people get off with 15 years after killing with a motor vehicle. I know this was different but the judge was great.

  8. Judges these days are absolutely weak, and spineless. They are soft on criminals and not ensuring the punishment fits the crime. The judges need to be accountable for the light sentences that let violent criminals out to commit more crimes

  9. The judge should've sentenced him to 100 years so he'll never have a life just like how his victim lost his
