In this episode of Crime Watch Daily Updates: The case of Akia Eggleston, a 22-year-old mom who went missing in Baltimore the day of her baby shower.
Eggleston was 8 months pregnant and last seen on May 3, 2017, in Baltimore’s Inner Harbor neighborhood. She was reported missing four days later after she failed to show up for the celebration in her honor. Family, friends, and investigators conducted exhaustive search efforts for Akia, but continued to come up empty-handed.
On February 3, 2022, the Baltimore City State’s Attorney announced Eggleston’s boyfriend and the father of her unborn son, Michael Robertson, was arrested and charged with two counts of first-degree murder. Prosecutor’s say Robertson made Eggleston believe they were moving in together, and she withdrew money for the deposit on an apartment. Robertson used photos from another listing and allegedly tricked her into believing they were going to live in a completely different house than the actual one at the address he shared with her. Months after Eggleston’s disappearance, Robertson supposedly Googled logistics involving Baltimore’s dumpster pickup and which landfill the trash gets sent to. Her body remains missing.

I hope they find her, but people don’t just disappear off the face of this earth. And, then leave their two year old daughter behind on top of being eight months pregnant. I honestly think that their is fowl play involved. So, I pray she is found, and returned safely to her family!

Two things I hope they are looking into. First is if there is any way her pregnancy could have been the cause and look into what house or place she was looking into
This is why I've always wished I went into detective work. These dead ends, cold cases would be my favorites to tackle. Hope they find her safe and sound, anything's possible.

Too bad this young woman was not taught some morals when she was growing up. It would of saved her life. So many young black women are used-up by worthless boyfriends and left with babies that have no structured families to grow up in.
